Excellent, then change your voting habits to make it stop. . .

Re: 84 children killed as Taliban storm school

I find it ironic and hypocritical that many on this thread fane shock and dismay to the death of the innocent children that lost their lives in today's horrible school massacre. And yet they, by their silence, endorse the current administration's open handed killing of suspected terrorist and combatants without regard to the collateral damage deaths of wives and children of the suspects.

Are you referring to me? You better hope you are not referring to me. Because if you are, I would love for you to find any post I have ever written on this site that states I support drone strikes. Do it. Do it and I'll gladly talk up how right you are about how hypocritical it is of me to condemn the killings of innocent children while condoning the killing of innocent children.

However you do build a pretty strawman. Don't beat up on it too hard now, dingus.

Many liberals have no problem admonishing the previous administration for their actions with respect to the capture and controlled advanced interrogation of terrorist and combatants. However, when their guy is in power, anything goes!

Again, who says Obama is my guy? You're a master of that strawman building there, ding dong.

Re: 84 children killed as Taliban storm school

My... that first bit has to be one of the most laughable, and sad posts I've ever read. A few words come to mind, but I think I might get an infraction for flaming.

Now I've read part 2... and have to bookmark it for it has to be one of the most legendary posts ever on DP.

"Dude" is Kobie, not me.

Sorry I'm not giving up my right to drink sufficient amount of water and eat food just because just because a lady wants to play with children and because of your religious believes. Also this planet is not just for babies.

Re: 84 children killed as Taliban storm school

... Conservatives don't care about non-White children being aborted--needed to be reiterated.

Source please.

What level does this sink to?

This list is dated January 2013... I wonder what the current total is?

By the way, refresh my memory, exactly how many terrorist lost their lives according to the Democrats CIA Torture Report?

Since when are 18 and 19 year olds "children"? And why would terrorists and terrorist supporters putting their children in harm's way? Maybe they don't value the lives of their children the same way non-savages do.

Re: 84 children killed as Taliban storm school

Carlin was dead on when He said.

Are you posting a comedians words for the truth of the matter?

Don't we discount what comedians say, because they are comedians?

Re: 84 children killed as Taliban storm school

As a mother, that would be the hardest thing for me to imagine. I can't, I simply can't. And yes, there was terror going through their minds. Damn.

The parents probably thought the children were safe because it was a military school. I would guess that makes it all the worse.

Re: 84 children killed as Taliban storm school

The Religion of Peace racked up a purdy good body count today.

Re: 84 children killed as Taliban storm school

And still not word of sympathy for the children. Conservatives are cold and lack empathy. It's all about politics, f'ing disgisting.
Then you haven't read.

Re: 84 children killed as Taliban storm school

You just have to bring up Feinstein and the Democrats in a thread concerning dead children. Anyone who uses the deaths of these innocent children to make a political point is one disgusting human being.

And yet you have no problem using "abuse" of terrorists to make political points. And please, don't consider your President Obama a disgusting human being for using the deaths of children at Sandy Hook Elementary School as a political tool to promote gun control. And please, assure me that if I go back and peruse the gun control/Sandy Hook threads I won't find posts from you pushing tighter gun control laws.

Re: 84 children killed as Taliban storm school

I am not confronting anything. It has nothing to do with my statement.
It has to do with the Taliban, which is the subject of this atrocity.

Normally when someone replies to you, it has something to do with your statement. Instead you go off the wall with an anti Taliban rant that has nothing to do with my statement.
It doesn't take "off the wall", it just takes a sense of history and a bit of memory. You may want to explore free thinking skills to widen the horizon of subject matter being discussed.

I was talking about the fact that people get all worked up because a group of children were killed and yet we have 4 kids dying every minute do to malnutrition. Something we can do something about right now. And no one cares.
Pile in the rest of humanity's ills and problems if you go down that road - which btw, will lead to no where.

No your statement was irrelevant, had nothing to do with agreeing with you or not.
It's very relevant - of a bad decision by the US as it applies to the world, and a very good decision as it applies to the Taliban who are not only capable but have no problem with carrying out such an atrocity such as this. Were you truly despondent of about dying children you'd agree with me. It's real simple actually.

Re: 84 children killed as Taliban storm school

More like they were picked off. . .

168 children killed in drone strikes in Pakistan since start of campaign - Telegraph

The attack was most likely in retaliation for the Pakistani military's complicity in (often badly aimed) U. S. drone strikes against civilian targets, i. e. what the U. S. gov't refers to as "collateral damage."

Actually, as I understand it, the attack on this school was the direct result of the Pakistani military over the past year conducting operation in the border regions between Pakistan and Afghanistan to flush out the Taliban who've been holed up there and plotting attacks in both Afghanistan and Pakistan, particularly against the Pakistani government. Only to the extent that the US helps fun the Pakistani military is the US in any way involved.

Not every bad thing that happens in the world is directly the fault of America.

Re: 84 children killed as Taliban storm school

I'm not going to answer a question you already know the answer too. The fact you're refusing to accept reality is not my concern.
You know of a Godless regime that killed 10's of millions of people... proving my point?
OK.
Thanks.

I have noticed, and I notice that right now you don't want to stick on topic. (Why would you, it's clearly you're devoid of any sense of humanity.)
You're proving yourself to be an ideal Leftist.
I prove you wrong about an accusation, and then YOU claim I am not on topic.
Phew...

The Crusades, the French Wars of Religion, and if I wanted to go Goodwin one could argue the Nazi movement was Christian. (After all, Hitler did say it himself.)
In Germany meanwhile, the Hitler regime had sought to reduce the influence of Christianity on society.[57] While the regime did not publicly declare itself for state atheism (despite the urging of leading Nazis like Martin Bormann[58]), it did encourage party functionaries to abandon their religion,[57] and persecuted religious groups - including Jews, Christians and Jehovah's Witnesses.[55] Hitler ultimately intended to eradicate Christianity from Germany.[59]
Criticism of atheism - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Hitler was responsible for tens upon tens of millions dying.
Then there's the Commi's. Tens upon tens of millions.
The rest doesn't come close. Crusades and French... 7 million. Was a while ago too.

What about swingers, and couples in open relationships? Who is to judge if Mr. and Mrs. Jackson wanted to add a third wheel to their love life? That's their decision to make, not any church or religion.
I said leads to a more harmonious society. And it would. It's not about making judgements here... it's about a set of rules that would more create harmony to society in general.

You're posting nothing but spin.
Theere is no spin on my part, but you're going to break some sort of rpm record soon.
FACT: THE BORDERS ARE OPEN... TO CRIMINALS AND TERRORISTAS OF ALL KINDS. Or have you missed the news lately?

No one changes my opinions on any matter but my own. But I doubt someone so entrenched in being a Right-Winger wouldn't understand that.

This is laughable... the point was... Demokrats, if they don't want to own the nasty end result of open borders, should move fast to have them controlled professionally and expertly.

I'm not making any defense here. You're posting and babbling on about something that is completely and utterly off base. Get out of here and start up your own thread if you feel so strongly about this issue, dingus.
You made an emotional plea to the open border status.

No, you found this thread to be a good place to set up your soapbox and shout out your party lines. Don't you dare to try and act like it is anything but that.
Those murderers have took 3,000 lives here. The murder children. You think they don't want to continue what they started on 911?

That the borders are open, that Demokrats are for it... well... that makes them culpable.

When reading stories like these, I don't really care why it was done, or what their stated reason was.

If they didn't use one thing to justify it, they would use something else. The end result is a lot of dead people.

I don't disagree. I just thought it was important to knock down the usual "America bad" hand wringing that pops up whenever anything awful happens in the world.

You lie. We have repeatedly called out Obama for his use of drones.

By contrast, your side militantly defended Bush's violence against civilians.

Re: 84 children killed as Taliban storm school

Taliban kills 136 kids and we get a 17+ page thread filled with people bickering about what the proper level of outrage should be, who that outrage should be directed at, and what tangential limitations should be placed on the outrage?

Whatever.

The Taliban is an evil organization of like minded, evil men. I don't want to try to understand them, I don't empathize with them, and I don't care what perceived injustice they are fighting against. They have no place in a civilized society. It's ultimatum time. Disband, change your ways, or die. I care not which path they choose.

Re: 84 children killed as Taliban storm school

Just look what has happened in Europe. That may help you understand the the content of the sentence.

Then say Europe.

Re: 84 children killed as Taliban storm school

You make it sound like I had to get creative to make Hillary's statement appear as stupid as it was.

When you see this crap happen to kids you want to shoot and torture the Taliban jerks. :shoot
I find it fascinating how some on the left think doing such would make us no better than them.

Could you post a link where Clinton said this about the murder of 84 children? Or is this more mindless drivel from the Far, Far Right? That's a rhetorical question, by the way.

Re: 84 children killed as Taliban storm school

it is not islam ,you should know better than the others if you are not ignorant

I bet they would be shocked to learn they are not Islamists.

Re: 84 children killed as Taliban storm school

Moderator's Warning:
A ton of thread bans and points have been issued and more will come if needed.

This is the *breaking news* section. Your posts in this thread better be primarily and specifically discussing the topic of this thread, not tangentally using it to make every other broad point about abortion, the left, the right, religion, or whatever else you feel like ranting on about. Discuss this topic, and if you're tieing it to something else you better make it crystal clear how it's connecting to the topic and the focus of your post better be more on the topic itself rather than the thing you're trying to tie to it.

Quite right. The attack in Beslan, killing 777 children was just another such example of Islamic terrorists murdering children. We seem to forget the the primary job of any terrorist is to spread terror and what is more terrifying for any family than having their children murdered.

But looking for scapegoats in order to try and explain this madness will likely continue.
