Kennesaw City Council rejects mosque proposal

And yet more wonderful Islamaphobes rear their ugly heads.

This thread is full of extremely paranoid individuals.

Naaa i dont believe int the big bad conpiracy that islamists are taking over the world and instituting global sharia law. Sorry im not an sslamaphobe

First of all, the video is based on facts and statistics not delusions.

Secondly, i'm not an Islamophobe i just believe Islam needs a reform and there's something seriously wrong with 1.5 billion people who can't see this simple fact.

Also, you're in the heartland of America, you haven't seen anything so i'm not expecting you to understand.

I was like you, i used to defend them but i've had enough.

How do you know it's based on facts and statistics?

As they have found in other countries, some of these mosques are nothing but breeding ground for terrorists.

If the people thought that was a possiblity, why let them in?

By that logic people should be able to ban catholic churches, catholic ran schools and daycares because a tiny minority of members happen to be pedophiles.

If people thought that was a possibility, why let them in?

Breeding and recruiting terrorists is far from a religious freedom.

Sorry the usual crowd here doesn't comprehend the difference.

Most Muslims are not terrorists just like most Catholics are not pedophiles. So the idea that a mosque is a terrorist recruiting ground is absurd.

Oh please these rules dont apply to Christianity.

Can't sayI would blame them. Security of the community and it's children should be of paramount concern. IMO

Because denying basic human Rights to Muslims is sure to help minimize anger and resentment

Great plan you have there! Very well thought out!

Kennesaw Georgia is where the movie " Deliverance " was filmed.

Those Imams better not mess with those kind Hill folk.

And No Mosque means no future Isis wannabe's.
Kennesaw is a popular Atlanta suburb full of mcmansions ..

So which Muslims are terrorists? What percentage? Which countries?

That attitude is exactly what has created radical hotbeds in other countries who once thought it was "absurd"

Why is that valid, exactly?
It depends on the volume i think. I can see where it may be considered noise pollution

Those "rights" you so freely extend to any groups that wants them can get people killed and your children radicalized.

So yes, I thought about it.

The churches around here bang on their bells all the god damned time. So can we get rid of all the Christian churches too? Or is this just against Muslims?
Getting rid of the bells would be justifiable under the same reasoning IMHO

Society has mechanisms to raid or conduct other law enforcement actions, we are fine

Perhaps you should go see a therapist over your level of unnecessary anxiety, they make good pills these days

Some mosques in the United States transmit extremist ideas.[4] The North American Islamic Trust (NAIT), a group with ties to the Muslim Brotherhood, "holds titles of approximately 300 properties [mosques and Islamic schools]".[22] The organization's website states: "NAIT does not administer these institutions or interfere in their daily management, but is available to support and advise them regarding their operation in conformity with the Shari'ah."[22] Other research on the Muslim Brotherhood in the United States claims NAIT influences a far larger number of Islamic institutions in the U.S.[3][5][23]

There is no government policy on the establishment of mosques in the United States and no way to monitor activity.[23] The value placed on religious freedom in the U.S. complicates the situation as mosques are places of worship that may be used to spread extremist ideology.

See post #143.... There is no mechanism in this country to monitor mosques or their activities.

So any speculation is nothing but that.

Nor should be, if there is a systemic issue causing illegal activities, we can use Rico laws

Any organization will be named, (which is necessary given human psychology) and that is sufficient. The fact that this organization is religious does not nor should it have bearing. Bad guys are bad guys regardless of motivation.

You haven't pointed out an actual issue

Plus that order avoids a number of legal issues that can cause cases to be thrown out of court

The FBI is perfectly able to investigate and prosecute based on ISIS's official designation as a terrorist group.

Whatever you believe. I don't.
