(CNN) -- Michael Brown's stepfather consoled the dead teen's distraught mother after Monday's controversial grand jury announcement and then turned to the crowd of demonstrators, saying, "Burn this motherf---er down" and "Burn this bitch down," according to a New York Times video.

Today's Rant - A Message to Michael Brown's Stepfather

Look, Mr. Brown, I do feel that police shoot innocent people, but your son was not innocent. He stole cigars, and then punched a cop. Did Officer Wilson use excessive force? We will never know, because witnesses at the grand jury proceeding either lied, and were caught and had to change their stories, or didn't know what they were talking about, and when confronted with that, changed their story. It is very possible that Officer Wilson committed manslaughter or even murder, but witnesses against Wilson wanted him convicted so badly, that they muddied the waters by giving false information. Now, before you start calling me a racist (Even though I live in an almost 100% black neighborhood), look at the evidence. It speaks for itself. Is the evidence accurate? We will never know because of all the false information that was given by liars, and also by well meaning people who bought into a spin that was shown to be false. Just look at the evidence supplied by the witnesses. It is so polluted that there is no way that the grand jury could have arrived at the truth. And that, my friends, is why Officer Wilson was no-billed.

To the protesters who are burning down Ferguson..... Physician, heal thyself. Yes, racism exists, but it's existence is on both sides of the color divide. Before you can make America a better nation, you must put aside your own hatred. It takes two to tango, and if you can't recognize that simple fact, then I am sure that the KKK has some white robes you can wear, because you are no different than they are. Yes, it hurt me say that, but I have never promised that I would gloss over the truth for anybody, whether friend or foe. If you don't like what I am saying, you can always choose to ignore me, but this festering scab will always remain, until people, white and black alike, face this demon which will eventually destroy us all, if not immediately dealt with.

See 'ya in Fallujah, folks.

Thanx for listening.

Welcome to incitement 101, fuel a fire based on the emotion of the moment then sit back and watch disaster unfold.

Cue Ecofarm in 3...2...

Grieving parents get a pass from me when it comes to saying stupid things. Looters who are capitalizing on this event to get some freebies? Not so much.

Racist on both sides, that there is. I agree with your rant. So where do we go from here?

Countries like Britain deal with offenders regularly without shooting them to death.

If we're talking about legalities then maybe shooting a thief could be justified in the legal system, but ethically? Something is wrong in the U.S. when petty crime is dealt with by homicide.

But... the sanctity of life in our country no longer applies, especially in poorer areas.

I think that is up to all of us to decide.

Dog gone shame we can't do like we did in the military. Anyone found being a racist was discharged, kick out regardless of race, color, creed or whatever. So how do you discharge a racist from the civilian world?

I think that is up to all of us to decide.

Do you think this is still a major factor in American society or is this mostly the media? Are the majority of Americans moved by these events or indifferent?

I always admired Trayvon's parents. Soon after the trial, they went to the media and said they forgave Zimmerman.

That's incredible IMO. That takes a lot of strength, and I admired it.

I may relate a little more to the stepfather. I am not saying I would publicly say the words he did, because I would have serious moral issues with feeling I incited violence. I just know that I don't easily forgive people when I am deeply hurt. It usually takes a lot of time for me to forgive. I relate to his anger. Also, I can't imagine what it would be like to loose a child and feel your child didn't get justice (I say that because that's exactly how the parent's view the situation).

This man said his words out of suffering, and I hope he gets help. If not, this amount of anger and grief can take a serious toll on him.

I am not sure I agree that he should be punished. The man can't be in his right mind... The rioters were probably going to riot regardless of his statement.

Interesting. You admire something they never did?
The reports certainly indicated that it was a possibility they might be able to eventually forgive as they clearly indicated that "healing takes time".
So are you making things up to admire, or do you have a link to them actually saying they actually forgave him?

'Burn this bitch down'.

Not a man of peace I am guessing.

We the people... We should gather in Ferguson and demand justice. If Mike Brown's father isn't indicted for inciting a riot and conspiracy to commit arson, we will riot and burn the place down... oh wait...

MB wasn't shot because he strong arm robbed the store dude...He was shot because he assaulted an officer, tried to take his gun, then when directed to stop and give up, he turned and charged the officer he just assaulted...By saying that he was shot for anything less than that is a lie.

"Michael Brown's stepfather at rally: 'Burn this bitch down!'"

I think we can assume he has destroyed any opportunity to go to work for a public relations firm.

LOL... if I had a link of his mother telling the media she forgave Zimmerman, you'd argue, THAT'S NOT WHAT SHE SAID.

But he can reflect for the rest of his life on his particular contribution here. What a model of maturity and self-restraint.

:naughty
No, that is just more made up stuff you are spewing.

If "the mother" actually said she forgave Zimmerman, I would have told you you were just half right as the father hadn't said it.

So again, do you have a link to confirm your claim that they said they forgave Zimmerman?
Or are you just deflecting because you know you are wrong?

I'd say indifferent....Wait, make that pissed off. This crap is subtracting from their enjoyment of watching Dancing With the Stars.
