Speaker of the House John Boehner (R-Ohio) on Monday evening announced that he is reappointing Republican Trey Gowdy of South Carolina to head the Select Committee on Benghazi next Congress.

The problem, however, is that by doing so, Boehner named a chairman to a panel that does not yet exist. Because the Benghazi committee is select and not permanent, the House will have to vote again to re-create it when Congress returns for a new session in January.

What do you do if a Republican-led committee clears the administration of wrongdoing in Benghazi? You create another Benghazi committee. You keep creating those committees until you get the results you want. And, if you never get the results you want, you keep this issue on top of other issues like the economy. Jeez!! Talk about Congress "going off the rails on a crazy train" (Thanx, Ozzy).

All of that junk will not result with anything substantial worth discussing in the end. Think of all the problems this country faces each day that is NOT being resolved.

Didn't people call this already? 6 ****ing investigations and they've found NOTHING and the GOP is still going at it. Were there ever any doubts that they were doing this because of politics?

It would be nice to have a House of Representatives who weren't so Anti-Obama. It really gets in the way of them getting anything done.

Sen. Colburn is talking about the immigration EO rather than Benghazi, but it seems to work with any of their so called "scandals"

All this started is when John McCain's bitch, Lindsay Graham, started complaining that the republican's report didn't match what they wanted to hear.

This was a covert CIA mission that went terribly wrong. There was never a 'Consulate' in Bengazi. The government, whether Republican or Democrat in the White House, is never going to reveal the true mission here and what went wrong. Sure the Obama administration bungled the cover up, as they have bungled about everything else the past six years, but we will not get the truth on this for another 25-50 years. The Repubs just look stupid beating this dead horse.

Let's see what the Select committee's charter is. If they can question witnesses under oath, subpoena materials and witnesses then I am all for it.

Oh no.....that's not how it works with the so called pumped up left. Once knowing they can't play with an issue nor get around it. They will do what they always do. Avoid it and run away from all they thought they had to say. Just like the Democrats Always do!

Truly those on the left are lightweights when it comes to where the Big Boys play.

I don't understand your point here. A GOP controlled House Intelligence committee determine that the actions taken were appropriate. Those are the words from the right. Keep on looking though. We got plenty of money to spend on this.

Are conspiracy theories all you have at this point? :) Please keep them. It'll only be a matter of time before you're called one of the many names used for conspiracy theorists. We have Truther for 9/11, Birthers for Obama, and... Benghazhiites for those who won't drop the subject after 6 different investigations found nothing. :)
