Obama acts on immigration, announcing decision to defer deportations of 4 million - The Washington Post

Well, our dear Mr. President still going his own way, which only he can understand.

In an evening address from the White House, Obama outlined a plan to provide administrative relief and work permits to as many as 3.7 million undocumented parents of U.S. citizens and legal permanent residents, as well as an additional 300,000 young immigrants who were brought to the country illegally as children.

He also said that majority of Americans supports immigration policy. WHAT?! Hmm, when the "majority" become "7 states"?

Also, Fed announced an end to Quantitative Easing BO increased the labor force for low wage jobs by 8%.
And i think 5 mln immigrants will provoke decreasing again! 5 mln of low-qualified workers will also provoke sad situation not only with workplaces!

Well, let's wait and see!

I am not sure that we are doing it the right way. Especially the precedent is bad. But the idea of more immigration is fine, if done right.

Problem is, we have know this for two decades and done, well, not very much.

Well, u r quite right, but now it's worst idea! We have more serious problems. Homeless children for example, 2 million of CITIZENS which are the face of today's America. The face, of today's governmental indifference. We spend billions for illegals now, but we can't spend few money to buy some food for them. Really, there are more better ways to spend money.

He says this about everything, when he clearly has no support for just about anything he does these days. He is just a jerk.

Let's see, he is flooding the market with low skilled workers, if they even bother to work at all. So, he increases the supply of low wage workers, driving the cost of labor down. Next, they will be screaming about raising the minimum wage, so we will be overpaying even more than we are now.

You do understand that Reagan worked with Congress on this issue, nothing unilateral but you just couldn't help yourself, could you? You also understand Congress reneged with Reagan as well, but of course that fact escapes you

Obama acted on his own as the legislative and executive branch violating the Constitution.

Worse, he said if Congress wants to stop him all they have to do is pass a bill.

Well, what if the Congressional Consensus is to deport these people ?

Obama ignores it.

The amnesty amendment that was added to the 1986 Immigration Reform and Control Act, a.k.a. The Simpson-Mazzoli Act was a Democrat amendment. The Democrats refused to support the immigration enforcement bill unless there was a "one time, never to be repeated again amnesty."

Don't rewrite history to further a political gain.

No point trying to lay it all on Obama. The southern border has been porous since the end of the Mexican War, and BOTH parties have wanted it that way ever since.
