CNN: 1,500 more troops to Iraq

Dafur, Guatmala, Turkey (off the top of my head) ... Or do they have to just be under that time frame? Because if we are all about "human rights" then this is going to go nowhere..

Let's include a few factors, like the number killed in genocide, the number killed in mass slaughters and the time frame of brutal oppression. Of course, in none of those states was rape institutionalized.

Do you have specific plans for how it should be done in the future ? In the parameters of this topic ?

Thom Paine
Yes. I have laid them out several times in this thread.

So its really not about "human rights"... Lets be honest, the reason we were given to invade Iraq was not "human rights", it was he was building up his WMD capability, he was a direct threat to us, and was helping Al-Qaeda all turned out to be false. If we really were all about "overthrowing regimes that committed human rights abuses" we would be in a **** ton of countries right now.

News flash wars have lasting effects.... And where did I say it wasnt ok to criticize his "Iraq policy"?

Seems any time Obama is mentioned in the same sentence as Iraq, bush is brought up. News flash...Obama has been there for 6 years in the hot seat. Bush was there for 8. Maybe the rose colored glasses can be taken off and we can look at it like it is??? Obama's foreign policy with Iraq is a joke. Accept it. He has been indecisive. Pick a course and go at this point.

Bush invaded Iraq in the first place. THAT'S WHY. With the full-throated support of much of conservative America, I might add.

The US provided no weapons. Intel provision is a matter of diplomacy and geopolitical interests.

We provided him with the intelligence and the areas to attack, knowing he would use chemical weapons.

You wonder why they are? Its because a war and a occupation of a country has long drastic affects... Lets learn some common sense now...

Kobie, look how stubborn these facts are...

Yeah, yeah, yeah, many Democrats voted for it as well. Who sold the bad intel? Who repeatedly told us "smoking gun, mushroom cloud"? Who told us of the ties with Al Qaeda?

I haven't voted for a single Democrat that voted for that travesty, and I don't ever plan to. So take your condescension and sell it to someone who gives a ****.

Today Obama doubled the number of troops in Iraq, how does that make you feel, Kobie?

And what is going on now?

Bush isn't in office. He isn't even running. However, Obama has had 6 years...to...do...what? What has he done? Pulled out? Attacked? Seriously. Again with the rose colored glasses.

Unless you can find out a way to go back and stop the Iraq war from happening...the only relevant topic is Obama and his policies with Iraq. Because if we are gonna talk about bush we might as well go back and criticize the British and French for their policies...or we should have supported the ottoman Turks. Idk.

Not that complicated.

ISIS exists in Iraq today because president chump left Iraq to the wolves. We left, they filled the vacuum, and as a result many more have been and will be killed. Obama lost the peace in Iraq.

The what ???

Serious question. Can we change that? Can we change that the war happened?

The what ???

Lost the peace. Honestly...I don't think that matters. Iraq exploding was inevitable. There was no true nation there. Obama's failure is in not being decisive. Least that is my view.

The left knows this, they keep the crap anyway. Obama is a piss-poor leader.

No. It happened. We cannot change an action in the past. Wait!! Do you have a time machine!?!?!

Exactly my freaking point!!!! We don't have a time machine. So there is no point in bringing up bush's failures when we are talking about obama's!! Saying "well bush started it" is like saying "the crusader's started it." It doesn't matter at this point.

Fact is we should be dealing with why Obama has is not doing well. Not why bush is bad.

Edit: sorry hit button too quick on phone:

So tell me. Do you think Obama has done anything well in his 6 years with Iraq? Or do you think this whole mess should be left alone?

Wait? So stating something that happened in the past that is part of the problem, "we shouldnt bring up"? Then you are only getting one side of the problem... You know "those who cannot learn from history are doomed to repeat it. "

I've already answered this question, about 4 times now. I think we should of never invaded in the first place. I think we should of never debaathified the country. I think we should of pulled out from the get go, we have had no business being there. Yes Obama is to fault in this.
