On the last day of the 2014 campaign, Democrats knew they were in trouble. Long ago, the party had given up hope of winning back the House in Tuesday’s midterm elections.

By Monday, it had skipped ahead to winning the post-
election blame game. “House Democrats have succeeded on every measure within our control,” the party’s House campaign committee announced preemptively in the early afternoon. And at the end of a bitter and massively expensive campaign, it appeared the Senate might be slipping from Democrats’ grasp as well.

Looks more and more like its going to be a bad day for dems tommorow.

Thanks, Harry Reid...................................you ****ing asshole. :D

It will be music to my ears.

I would probably volunteer to move ole Harry out of the Senate Majority Leader's official office, just to see his expression. God that guy pisses me off. And, there aren't too many up there that can get me riled up like he can. Maybe Cruz on the Republican side, and Durbin on the Dem side... but good ole Harry? He takes the ***hole prize home ever time I hear him speak.

But even "Dirty Harry's" actions paled compared to those of Obama "The Great Uniter" in getting folks to hope for change. ;)

Republicans largely campaigned against President Obama, casting their opponents as rubber stamps for an unpopular chief executive. Most Democrats didn’t seem to like Obama much either, and many ran as centrists skeptical of the president. In Alaska, Sen. Mark Begich (D) proudly declared himself “a thorn” in Obama’s posterior.

I can picture him walking out of his office, head hung low, dragging Nancy Pepsi's gavel behind him by the handle.

Obama will go down as the worst POTUS in modern US history. I have no doubt there are more scandals, incompetence, and transparent partisanship to come from him.

Only in your mind... he actually has been relatively scandal free. The only "scandals" were the trumped up variety that had almost no traction, which is why they will take their place as double asterisks in political trivia.

Best / Worst president's haven't been polled in about three years, but you will note that Obama is near the upper part of the list (though I suspect he will rank in the middle when all is said and done)

That said, the Dems are banking on Orman going their way. Personally, and its only my humble opinion, I bet that if Orman wins, he does the calculus (actually its simple math) and decides he has a longer career as a Kansas Republican than a Kansas Dem and, if the Senate ends up 50-49 or 49-50, stays a Republican. He certainly will caucus as a Rep if they win outright... King will also like switch.

I don't know how he could be in the upper part of the list. He has been pretty mediocre in my opinion. As to the worst president in modern American history, Bush has that by a landslide as his foreign policy was an absolute disaster (even ISIS is a direct result of our going into Iraq back in 2003), his administration was riddled with scandals (Hell there were even high level officials in the Department of the Interior doing coke and engaging in orgies with oil company execs and lobbyists), and he left office with the worst financial collapse and recession since the Great Depression.

As to the topic of the thread, I think its almost a given that the Republicans will take the Senate tomorrow.

The more we know about Obama and his presidency, the worse he looks. Most of his scandals have come out in the last 2 years, and his senate and admin hasn't exactly been transparent.

A republican senate will facilitate investigation, but we wont know the worst until he's gone, I think.

Lets find out together. Wont be long now.

Couldn't have said it better myself - this will probably be the echo coming from the Senate chamber on Wednesday morning.

I hate to burst your bubble, but I am anyway. Mitch is just as much an ass as Harry "Jackass" Reid. They are both blowhards and I doubt highly we are going to like what comes out of the Senate if anything. The rumblings already are not good. Don't get me wrong I like that Harry is not Majority leader. I am just saying that in all probability its gona be a "Meet the new boss, same as the old boss." scenario. I have been known to be wrong though.

Mitch has already said there will be no investigations, so don't count on em. Mitch is a bastard, and holds grudges. He will be out to **** the conservatives for sure.

He can be influenced, they all can. But first we have the lame duck session and the first 100 days...

Cool to hear Teddy Cruz say he may not support Mitch. There's always a silver lining and this assclown car should be a riot for two years plus the morons in the GOP Presidential plus the (far worse than the) do nothing Congress of Truman. The echo in the House is already "impeach" .

Science denying idiot Inhofe will chair Environment--bomb, bomb Iran will chair Defense, Manchin will be bribed to switch parties with a plum chair, Mitch will pay Rand back for his help, Ted will bechung out to dry, Kansas will be in court until Orman is given his seat if he caucuses GOP .

I am telling ya don't get your hopes up. These ****ers are out to screw us. They are already planning on passing an omnibus spending bill which means they are already throwing out any leverage they have with Obama.

The GDP today looks terrible compared to six years ago I agree.

The only thing we know for sure on WED is that the campaign for 2016 begins in earnest that day.

You've forgotten that Obama halted all Bush probes. Mitch hasn't .

The omnibus passed last DEC by Paul Ryan saved the GOP from itself this year with no gov't shutdowns.

Stupid DEMs didn't pound GOPs starting last NOV, while the GOP did start pounding DEMs last NOV over ACA .

The House is out of the Dems reach until 2022, even more out of reach than the White House is to the Reps..... The Senate will be the Reps to enjoy for 2 years, until the exact conditions that put the wind at the back of the Reps reverses and favors the Dems... Enjoy divided government. It will be with us for half a generation. Hopefully the Reps can grow up (propose workable legislation) and do some serious work to show they can govern....

I'd rather they play golf.:golf None of them have enough intelligence to be able to accomplish anything worthwhile.

I hear you, and I know what kind of republican "turtle head" is. With these "moderate" repubs my hopes are not up.
