Hillary Clinton slams trickle-down economics, 'business' doesn't create jobs?

Aw, no fun, you changed the title.

View attachment 67175112
What leftist politicians try to do, and they are good at it, is to create simple-minded slogans for their simple-minded followers who can then easily digest and understand the message. "War on Women" was great in that regard, despite it being of of the most divisive slogans in American history. But it worked for those who absorb the message easily, believe it, and don''t think any further than that.

This simple-minded slogan back-fired on her a little but they will soon come up with another which the followers can believe and repeat without ever having to think about it too much.

Millionth time this thread has been posted.

Taken out of context and bad idea to pursue.

Same with "what difference does it make"

and "you didn't build that"

It'll blow up in your face, because you'll end up doing something stupid like hosting a Republican National convention under the auspices of "We built that" in a stadium built with public money...

I don't know who would do something that stupid...

while i would very much want to agree with you
this time they have finally seized on something said which deserves to be criticized
hillary exposed her shallowness when she insisted that businesses do not create jobs
were she right, that would then tell us that only the government creates jobs. and we know that not to be true
so yes, they finally snagged one
and they will wear it out
let them enjoy it, as it's all they have

 I had an income low enough for me to qualify for food stamps and I managed to save and invest. We used an ancient piece of black magic called a "Budget" to perform the "Living on Less Than We Make" rite. Because of our dark powers, we are now on track to retire millionaires.
You had a balanced budget? So did my family!!

There was a quaint phrase once, now obsolete, called "Living within your means". I've done that also and, surprisingly, it wasn't as difficult as it sounds.

Even Justin Bieber's teenage "Beliebers" quit when their guy carried stupidity to an unacceptable level but the Hillaryettes still carry on 'beliebing', without clear reason, and without ever articulating why. Just beliebing is enough.

I think you may have hit the "reply" button to the wrong person.

I'm sorry, but that's impossible, and you are clearly a liar. Everyone knows that poor people lack the ability to do anything but continually rack up greater amounts of credit card debt, given to them by predatory lenders.

What right wing politicians try to do, and they are good at it, is to create simple-minded slogans for their simple-minded followers who can then easily digest and understand the message.

Like:

cut and run
morning in America
mission accomplished
build a wall
flip-flopper
contract with America
liberal elites (who somehow despise earning money)
food stamp president

Fixed it for you, Mr. Independent.

See that is the problem with you conservative types... "poor" dont have anything to invest once they pay for the basics!

Sure I can quantitative them, but you wont accept it, so why bother.

very few. The middle class has had at best flat income growth the last 30 years. Sure there are a few that made the big time, but they are a very small minority. Where as the top 1% have gotten richer and richer.
We had two leftwing presidents in t he meantime who didn't help wages either. Europe is still on the brink of disaster.

Hillary Clinton just proved why she shouldn't be President.

Ah but you forgot. The left stream in their media will make sure it goes down as irrelevant with nothing but contempt for those who'd note it. You know, like "words, just words" and other favorite lines of the radical left oft ignored by their hypocrite followers.

Well, I've increased my income every year for a couple decades now so I'd say quite a bit.

Ah, so you're the one percent now? Consider inflation and tell me how much your income actually went up.

They gave me half of your share to piss you off.

I think they must have given it all to you. I was just fired because they didn't want to trickle down anymore money to me.

You distorted my post and in doing so demonstrated again that Leftists are not too bright.

The point was that Leftists pit Americans against each other through the use of divisive slogans, such as the "War on Women". Your inane examples miss the point completely, as did the poster who gave it a 'like'.

Depends. If the business was able to expand then the people employed there benefitted.

The corporate fat cats bag millions whether or not the business is doing well or they make the right decisions. Take a look at JPMC for example. Jamie Dimon received a 74% pay increase this year despite the tens of billions in penalties for illegal activity and his misrepresentation of the London Whale. The firm still had robust profits and a significant increase in share value but it was announced that salary increases for the peons would not happen. Guess they had to get the extra millions for Dimon from somewhere.

Well, what she got one thing right.

Trickle down economics is abhorrent. Sooner or later the people who vote for the GOP will figure this out.

JPMC and Dimon are crooked but you should be pleased.
That way he could do stuff like this ...

"From 1989 to 2009, the banker and his wife gave over half a million dollars to Democrats, according to a Center for Responsive Politics analysis. That’s 12 times what they gave to Republicans during that same time frame. "

Jamie Dimon, Democrat? - The Washington Post

here is true inanity
pretending that the mere identification of competing interests in conflict, such as 'war on women', is the same thing as pitting Americans against each other

You might want to rewrite this post...

You don't understand what the term means, do you? Would you prefer 'trickle up' economics?

These terms have little to do with complicated economic problems but are instead meaningless slogans designed by politicians to oversimplify the issue for a gullible electorate who think they understand economics..

You don't believe that charging an opposing political party of engaging in a "War on Women" is divisive?
