I'm just confused as to why it was stated the way it was
giving others (notably myself) the impression that it was ONLY Christians AND ALL Christians (simply due to them calling themselves that)
...that have this appreciation for "the value of life"
now I'm relatively new here so I cant point to anything you personally have stated
but I have read some hey zeus followers chanting loudly at glassing all those "ragheads"
quite obviously showing us that they DO NOT have this moral highground when it comes to "the value of life"
...

Despite all the gun cult mythology about defensive gun uses, guns do more harm than good. Severely restricting possession would be a net benefit to the community.

The NRA has dismissed the death of the innocents as just part of the cost of doing business. To the NRA, dead children are close to meaningless. Supporting the NRA is a reprehensible and repugnant behavior.

Guns don't do harm. The people using them do harm. Take away guns, and there won't be a change in the harm done- only a different methodology.

In an earlier posting I noted the possibility someone might be required to have a gun. Military and law enforcement personnel are among those who might have to have them. For them, killing is a necessary part of their duty to the community.

It may not be a " faith " in the sense that you don't worship your belief in a Godless world, but your belief DOES TAKE FAITH.

Unless you can disprove the existence of a creator.

I haven't see a Atheist accomplish this yet.

Guns make killing fast, safe and easy. At the margin, some will kill because of the utility a gun provides.

That makes no difference. If someone wants to kill, they are going to do it, regardless of their possession of a gun (or not).
