He was at Ebola ground zero and handling hundreds if not thousands of Ebola-infected patients. He should have been isolated for 21 days as a precaution!
There is no f-ing excuse for not doing it! Especially if one's next destination is a densely-packed city of 12 million people!

This man should be jailed just for being stupid!

Just reported that a League City ( Town South of Houston ) man was just sent to UTMB Medical Center in Galveston.

He flew in from West Africa and the went to a local Clinic with " Ebola like Symptoms .

Unreal.
Keep passing out those Visa's Obama.

Quarantining healthcare workers returning to the United States from the Ebola "hot zone" was one of a number of options being discussed by officials from across the administration, Tom Skinner, a spokesman for the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), told Reuters.

The worst Ebola outbreak on record has killed at least 4,877 people and perhaps as many as 15,000, predominantly in Liberia, Sierra Leone and Guinea, according to the World Health Organization (WHO).....snip~

Let's pretend an American citizen who unknowingly has Ebola is in Liberia. America institutes a flight ban from Liberia. What do you expect this person to do?

1) Shrug their shoulders and stay in Liberia until Ebola disappears from the Earth
2) Drive across the border into an unaffected country and then get home.

I work in infectious disease as an IM practitioner, and they contract, bring home, and spread disease to other patients all the TIME. Its just that usually those diseases are treatable (but often catastrophic for patients who are already seriously ill) and much less virulent.

Spare me the propaganda line here, theres a hole a miles wide that needs to be plugged.

Also, some strains of ebola have indeed spread through the air, and with the rapid rate of spread its increasingly likely it will happen again. Note that things like increased mobility from outbreak locations makes this even more likely and potentially more deadly.

Of note, the nations south of liberia, but north of Nigeria (another outbreak nation) have prevented the disease-how? By closing their borders.
