Man arrested after jumping White House fence, causing lockdown......

As a Canadian who just witnessed yesterdays events here in Ottawa, I appreciate the sentiment. However, I have no desire to make our symbols of democracy and government barricaded fortresses that purposely keep our government from our people. Sure, beef up security at the White House - maybe have more regular patrols outside the fence or between the two fences, but anything much more leaves us with terrorists and crazies winning. I hope my Canadian Parliament remains open and accessible to all Canadians and to visitors from around the world - many tourists comment on and complement Canada for such openness.

I consider the white house a military compound that is grossly unguarded. Look what happened in similar circumstances in Benghazi. That compound too had low profile security in order to arrear friendly and welcoming. We are at war and IMO it is time to start acting like it. This war has come to our homeland and that is being ignored.

There's a s**tload of Rothschilds ... I wonder what Nathanial Philip in particular did to hack this guy off to this extent.

I wonder too. Adesanya doesn't strike me as the kind of guy who's hanging around with financiers in Switzerland.

There is no semblance of comparison between Benghazi and the White House - none. Benghazi was grossly under protected, partly due to the Ambassador's own desires but also because of administration decisions. The White House is not grossly under protected but it may have a secret service contingent that is too comfortable and lax in the performance of their duties.

The White House? Was Obama there? Outrageous. Those dogs could have been really hurt.

Heya B. :2wave: Yep.....Bo was home at the time too.

So you know he was covered quickly. This marks the 7th time this year someone has jumped that fence.

I dunno. I've read Nat's bio, and I can't find anything that would get anyone this wound up. Dominic isn't playing with a full deck.

I respectfully disagree. You are mistaken about the ambassador and his desires for one. That is white house spin, the same white house that will suffer the same fate sometime soon. You do know our white house was attacked before and nearly burned to the ground don't you? It was loosely guarded then too and is a high priority military target for terrorist.

Yeah. I imagine SS is a little jumpy and sensitive right now. Glad they got him quickly. Obviously, the guy has some mental issues, and that's a shame. Thee are some dogs, though, that wouldn't give him the option to punch them. He should be glad those pups weren't on scene.

This guy has some mental issues for sure.....some attorney will get him out of going to prison. Already someone in his family said he is suppose to be on medications. Plus they held him due to some other warrants.

Maybe Nat tweeted something uncomplimentary about Dom's selfie.

Ya think?

Yes, but he's in DC. That's the norm there and even a requirement for positions in the administration. Dominic has probably unwittingly just qualified to be appointed Surgeon General.

I have no reason not to believe reports at the time related to Ambassador Stevens and the security posture in Libya.

Official: Amb. Stevens Refused Additional Security | Military.com

I also believe the Obama's themselves have made special requests around security in/around the White House - those may have changed after recent events.

It seems clear to me that sometimes the "boss" is his/her worst enemy when it comes to personal security.

It is also clear to me that I don't have any interest living in a country so fortified that I have no access to my government and those who are elected.

Good morning, MMC. :2wave:

Have there been many other instances over the years where people have succeeded in jumping the fence to see the POTUS? Seven times this year seems excessive, and the fact that their attempts were successful is unusual, to say the least. Should we now expect to see the fence electrified or barbed wire added, like a third world country might do? I find it hard to believe that there are not sensors that are constantly being monitored from within the White House, though, because I believe there are, and you probably wouldn't get far. Strange bit of recurring drama....

The reports you believe are newspaper reports and Obama owns our media so they mean nothing. IMO you are being Pollyannaish about the threat and keeping your head in the sand will not stop reality from happening but time will tell. If sometime soon the white house defenses are successfully breached I will be interested to see your response.

Later he would.....request security, and the RSO Nordstrom testified to that fact. Also Johnny Quest McCain reported that Stevens told him he had requested security when Johnny Quest visited. Just sayin.

Wait.....wut? The Rothschilds are out to get him?

They're out to get all of us.Thats a given.

What makes the fence jumper crazy is the way he chose to address the Rothschild threat.

Aluminum foil hats and hiding in your basement is the only sane way of stopping the Rothschilds.

I built a bunker in the woods so I can hide from the Rothschilds when they come looking for me.

Doesn't everyone?

Oh cool, the " Unibomber " strategy.

Hadn't thought of that

.....but I don't think any got to share a lil time with the President. Myself.....I think they should put up another fence. That way whoever jumps over will be caught between the fences.

Of course we were suppose to do that with some of our Border fencing. But as you can see we are not real good at building fences to keep people out of places.

Is the use of dogs on the grounds of the White House something new? I don't remember ever hearing about dogs being used before this

Greetings, tres borrachos. :2wave:

What are the people in Florida and other coastal States going to do? Their water table is too high for a bunker, poor things. Many don't even have basements for that reason. Maybe they could use that to their advantage, though - just dig down enough to hit water, build a moat and stock it with alligators or other predators. Hey, it worked with castles in Europe....
