How many americans have thus far died from Ebola?

How many need to die in your opinion?

I believe that one Liberian citizen has died in the USA.

How many Americans would you like to see die from Ebola?

Re: Obama: ‘I Felt Perfectly Safe’ Hugging, Kissing Hospital Workers Who Took Care Of

Just because you don't understand what clinical pharmacists do in academic clinical settings isn't my problem.

There's a reason pharmacy programs are much longer and tougher than PA programs, and that doesn't even count residencies.

Academia is not clinical medicine pal. You guys dont specialize in medicine, nor practice it, even if you go to school for ever and ever!

Its not just about Americans. The ability to get spread indirectly through America, to places that certainly can't handle Ebola is probably an even bigger problem. You do care about those people, right? Or are you so ethnocentric?

LOL. You dont even understand academic clinical medicine. Yeesh.

A University teaching hospital. We get the patients that guys like you cant handle. Tertiary care.

Yes, I care about them. However, this is being portrayed by some as a health crisis in America. As far as I know, you have a better chance as an American of being killed by an asteroid than you do by Ebola. Again, I ask the question - How many americans have died from Ebola? Shouldn't be that tough a question to answer, given the Republican rhetoric about the failures of the Obama Administration to control it.

Re: Obama: ‘I Felt Perfectly Safe’ Hugging, Kissing Hospital Workers Who Took Care Of

I can't believe people are complaining about the president kissing and hugging another person...

Re: Obama: ‘I Felt Perfectly Safe’ Hugging, Kissing Hospital Workers Who Took Care Of

They aren't real people. They are extreme right wing nutjobs. They should never be confused with real people.

Re: Obama: ‘I Felt Perfectly Safe’ Hugging, Kissing Hospital Workers Who Took Care Of

This guy has the most important job in the US and he is kissing nurses that cared for an ebola patient? Yet another example of Obama's lack of intelligence and IMO another secret service breakdown. They should have said "Mr. president, we can't let you walk out into traffic and we can't let you kiss ebola nurses, now go sit down at your desk little boy and stay away from that red button thingy too. Wouldn't it be interesting if BO got sick because of this.

“I want to use myself as an example just so people have a sense of the science here. I shook hands with, hugged, and kissed, not the doctors, but a couple of the nurses at Emory because of the valiant work that they did in treating one of the patients. They followed the protocols, they knew what they were doing, and I felt perfectly safe doing so,”

Staged. Better believe those folks were scrubbed and sterilized beforehand.

You blab about MOA's to students. You are not a practitioner and frankly a nurse would be a better source of info. You are a pharmacist, stop trying to present it otherwise.

You are asking the wrong question, it should be how many times has the CDC and whitehouse dropped the ball?

And you are do low on the feeding chain, you don't even understand what clinical pharmacists do!

Wow.

Wow.

I work with clinical pharmacists daily, mostly getting calls about what meds they are out of that day, how many time the latest drug seeker has been refilled his narcs, and what their trough recommendations are.

Like I said, I practice medicine. You are just a pharmacist buddy, you dont provide medical care.

More of the lefts "tolerant" dehumanization. It only killed what, 100 million last century?

I certainly did.

You're just jealous you couldn't get into pharmacy school.

I never even considered pharmacy school, because I wanted to provide medical care to people. And I became a Paramedic while in college so I could get my hands dirty as soon as possible.

I do have a good friend who's a pharmacist. He enjoys reading rock climbing books all night with very little interaction with the sick or injured. :2wave:

Many pharmacists choose that practice. I didn't.

Re: Obama: ‘I Felt Perfectly Safe’ Hugging, Kissing Hospital Workers Who Took Care Of

Kissing is not normal public contact and was really really dumb of BO to do
Isn't this the sort of sexism the left was once fighting against, where men in powerful positions hug and kiss female workers in lesser positions? Did these nurses actually want to be kissed and hugged?

Dont care. You still dont treat patients, you give those that I do IV solutions and give the patients I treat their discharge meds. Thats all.

The left only hides behind feminism, etc to advance its political ends. Look at how many dem presidents have treated women for an example of this.

Luckily for me, my practice wasn't defined by your ignorance!

Re: Obama: ‘I Felt Perfectly Safe’ Hugging, Kissing Hospital Workers Who Took Care Of

Fact, you aren't a medical practitioner, stop posing man-is it really that hard?

You say this like you understand what's going on.

PA school. 2 years. Pharmacy 4+ years, and many of us do residencies for up to 3 years, plus post docs.

I will say I've loved the PAs I've worked with. Solid, hard working technicians who do a great job.

Nuff said.

PA's a licensed to practice medicine and not technicians. I practice, and as already stated an MD reviews 2% of my patients at the end of the month (and I get high marks, especially for only being 2 years out of school).

None of this, however changes who you are-a pharmacist. You are not a medical practitioner PERIOD, so stop posing as one.
