Not only that, no one has any idea how the virus can, or will mutate. It appears to me that the assumption is that it's make up will remain exactly as it is.

The virologists at the CDC? The same CDC that told Amber Vincent that it was cool to fly to Ohio and back?

So far, every single prediction the government has made turned out to be wrong. That reality will create more panic than anything.

No the story changes daily. First the CDC said you can't catch Ebola unless body fluid contacts a cut in the skin, now they say just getting on your skin is enough. Your temperature was once supposed to be over a hundred to indicate Ebola but the infected nurse that boarded a plane had a fever under that threshold. They also said an attending physicians neck did not have to be covered now that has changed. Is this the kind of mess a sitting president should jump into lips first?

And now, Dr. Nancy Snyderman with NBC was caught at a restaurant near her house when she was supposed to be in voluntary quarantine.

I heard it was a popular restaurant, but now that word got out that she came there after being exposed to Ebola, business dropped off dramatically. I also read that she is now on mandatory quarantine.

She should be fired for her selfish, irresponsible behavior.

I would agree that Dr. Nancy Snyderman should be terminated from the job she holds at NBC. Sadly, her own actions and ill advised choices have doomed her and destroyed any credibility she had in giving advice to the American people on this subject. I say that with no joy because i have always thought here a very good reporter.

Obama is going to say things that can be mocked and joked about and I have no doubt his rosy statements will be fodder for comics and pundits everywhere. Any US President in this position would fall prey to the same sort of consequences.

Well ... he told his story as though he was smooching nurses who just came away from an Ebola patient treatment.
It didn't sound right so I checked when he visited Emory and when the Ebola patients were there.

But to answer the choice you posited ... I choose liar because he's no idiot.
But if you had suggested he's either a liar or a driven Leftist ideologue, that would have been a double hit despite the obvious overlap.

LOL. Having an asymptomatic person fly is fine. Of course, to protect the chronically hysterical, they changed that.

But you're right in one aspect, the infected health care workers were a sign that regulation by the federal government needed to be tighter, and we apparently can't trust locals to be competent in handling important issues.

I don't think you wanted to argue that, though.

The story hasn't really changed at all. The virus is still transmitted the same way it's always been transmitted.

I'm pretty sure that just because YOU are ignorant on the topic doesn't mean THEY are ignorant too.

Yes...they practically accused Bush of reaching up and snagging Hurricane Katrina and tossing it at the gulf coast. And within three days of the 9/11/01 attacks Hillary Klinton was holding up a sign for the tv cameras stating: "What did he know and when did he know it?"

No, the CDC has provided confusion in their messages. The CDC may not be ignorant but we know one thing for sure - they don't know how to communicate effectively.
