Maybe, but I can see the President doing this, as a compassionate human being, without any planning at all, and the Secret Service having a conniption watching him hug those people. That's what I think may have happened here. My original comment on this thread, was in regard to no one telling him not to touch them, just in case. Maybe they did, and h said screw it, I'm hugging them - but I doubt it. No one probably even thought Obama would do it, and it just happened before anyone could say or do anything.

I believe the reality is that neither you, nor anyone else really know how the virus travels.

Doctors Without Borders has been dealing with this for months, in the hot zone. They couldn't keep 16 of their doctors from getting infected. All of a sudden, someone here in The States, who has barely even read about ebola is an expert on the disease? That kind of false bravado is dangerous.

Ann Coulter is right, we'll find out just how serious the situation is, after the midterms.

Virtually no healthcare workers in Africa get sick when using appropriate precautions.

Known by who? The CDC? The same folks who knew that it was, "extrordinarily unlikely", that ebola would show up in The United States?

Exactly. Not all the relevant facts about this disease are known yet, particularly the details of how it may be transmitted. That's why no one should believe the feel-good pap put out by the damned arrogant liar who is occupying the White House and his butt boys. Here as elsewhere, the main concern of this sorry excuse for a President is covering his own rear.
