Turkey 'agrees to US air base use'

It can not be done with major ground effort from a Sunni nation...

Well I will have to disagree with you UG. :2wave: .....but the Kurds are Sunni. They also have an army of over 100k. They just need weapons and they can handle the area to the north and the border crossing into Syria. As they wouldn't trapse all over Iraq. Like say down by Anbar.

But now with the Turks pulling the stupid move and attacking those Kurds in Turkey. They just created more of a problem. Which Do you think Turkey would have done any of this BS if we would have applied pressure to them in the first place?

Providing the Kurds with the right weapons would be the best thing for the Kurds and the worst for ISIL. Unfortunately, no one in the ME wants them to have weapons.
