As if the lives of the family members weren't turned upside down already. :(

Devastating.

In my FEMA email feed I get (which is where I found out about this), there was a quote from one of the local firefighters that when they came up on the scene, that it brought back the memories of that day, and they broke down and cried before they were able to fight the fire.

Something tells me this was arson.

What does this R.I.P. before the title mean?

Maybe we're supposed to be mourning the 9/11 artifacts lost in the fire.

Seriously though, I think sometimes mods add that tag to threads improperly.

Moderator's Warning:
Excuse me, but no Mod added the tag. The OP did. It represents respect to be given to someone, generally a public figure, who died. It is not appropriate for this thread.

We are supposed to be mourning them, as we ought mourn the loss of any important historical artifact.

Meh, it's just junk.

That's two moronic posts from you this thread. Trifecta coming up? An endless regression?

It is just junk. The importance of 9/11 has been overdone.

Sure, why not. What do you think the memorial and all the stuff lost in the fire reminds people of the most?

You seem not to have understood my post. No matter continuing the conversation won't do you any good.

9/11 changed the world forever.
Yes that's true in a way most people wouldn't expect. It was the day the citizens of the U.S. gave in to terrorists and thus the start of the decline of the free world.

I think my best move would be to multiply everything you say by zero to depict its intellectual value, and move then on.

Adios!

One man's junk is another man's treasure.

I suppose, but I think you should remember people for the good times you shared, not for when they died in a plane crash.

That may be true, but for many, memorials help with that.

It's the second or third time I've noticed it.
