Major Fire Burning At Flight 93 Memorial, 9/11 Artifacts Burning

Do we have some Trolls on this site. Touchy subject 9/11. Any thing Disrespectful should left off

You're right of course. But I am sure you know that in today's world it is en vogue to openly criticize the US, if not outright hate it...So, if someone burned the memorial out of this hatred, then my first look would be at domestic socialists....They should be the first suspects.

I think we shouod look at jihadist sympathizers, first. Then, America hating Leftists

It might have been conservatives looking to simultaneously complain about being victims and blame it on someone.

Nah, not me...Any sleepers wouldn't risk exposing themselves with no causalities for Allah...If you are saying "sympathizers" then we are back to America hating leftists are we not?

Good point.

Getting back to the subject of the thread, I fully respect the people of Pennsylvania and those most directly affected by the crash of flight 93 who went to the trouble of honouring the brave people who died in this particular crash and potentially saved a large number of other lives in the process. Their work in honouring these people shouldn't be trashed by ignorant and insensitive garbage spewed by posters here who've got nothing better to do than troll and bait as part of some mental deficiency in action.

I'm glad no one was hurt in the fire.

How kind! I wonder if people felt the same way about the way Galileo was treated all those years ago?

So, are we to determine that because Galileo was possibly mistreated centuries passed, that means you are, or would be in support of arsonists that burned down a memorial to individuals that prevented more possible deaths by sacrificing their own lives that day? Is that what you think Henry? Really? :screwy:

Who said this is arson?

According to a news report, administrative buildings, not the memorial itself, was burned, and that did result in the loss of a few artifacts.

The memorial itself is made up mostly of stone slabs and concrete. There's not much that could have been burned.

In any case, this thread is testament to the fact that the Internet is a place where no matter how somber the topic some piece of trash will show up to s*** on it.

In other news, internet trolls shown scientifically to be narcissists, psychopaths and sadists. Trolls will lie, exaggerate, and offend to get a response.

No J-MAC, that's not what I think. Apologies for my previous post being a bit too subtle for you to grasp. My bad.

Galileo was ridiculed and worse for his heresy. Lo and behold, it turned out the man was quite right.

People today who point out the bloody obvious--there was no Boeing at Shanksville (and thus no pax either)--are also seen as heretics by those embracing "conventional wisdom". And like Galileo, they are simply speaking the obvious truth.

As a thoroughly modern Orwell put it, in a time of universal deception (or ignorance), speaking the truth is a radical act. :peace

As a side note, Gallileo's story is a little more complex and he was not speaking the obvious truth, nor did he suffer for heresy in and of itself.

Gallileo was invited to demonstrate his claims mathematically. The opposing side was taken by a church official who also used mathematics to refute Gallileo. Very few people then, or now, have sufficent mathematical knowledge to offer a coherent argument for either side.

That aside, Gallileo proved his mathematical model was correct. He did not suffer any severe concequences- and was even allowed to discuss his ideas further if he gave equal time to the Church's position. But.... Gallileo pushed the envelope further when he wrote a book sarcstically depicting the Pope was a simpleton. Gallileo had also earlier managed to alienate the Jesuits with his cutting wit during a debate about comets.

In short, Gallileo was not perscecuted for heresy per se, but rather for haveing heretical views while not knowing when to shut up. That does not make his perscecution right- but mocking any authority was just not a good idea in 1616.

So you made it up so you could blame it on the left?

I'm not surprised
No, the investigation isnt done yet, but someone mentioned arson earlier in the thread. But like i said i wouldn't be surprised. Stick that in your pipe.

Great...9/11 truther nonsense...you should have stopped typing at "apologies"..

Well, if someone on the internet mentioned it, it's reasonable to blame the left.

Come on, this isn't the rosetta stone we're talking about here.
An artifact need not be Rosetta Stone-class to be due mourning at its destruction.

Something to bear in mind is that not many aircraft artifacts survived the high speed collisions of 9/11, making those that did survive all the more precious.

Yes, we have the government we deserve. :(

So, by your logic here, no one should give a crap about what you say here either...thanks for the candor.

Moderator's Warning:
Excuse me, but no Mod added the tag. The OP did. It represents respect to be given to someone, generally a public figure, who died. It is not appropriate for this thread.

I think in a thread like this, it's best to be respectful lest this turn into conspiracy/truther territory...

That didn't take long...
