Michael Dunn found guilty of 1st-degree murder in loud-music trial[W:292]

Re: Michael Dunn found guilty of 1st-degree murder in loud-music trial

Ya can't call him innocent anymore excon...
He is a convicted 1st degree murderer.
The real THUG pulled the trigger that night and now justice has been served.
:lamo
Yeah I can, because he is. Wrongfully charged and wrongfully convicted.
Still innocent.
That does happen in our justice system. Or didn't you know that?

And the real thug died.

Re: Michael Dunn found guilty of 1st-degree murder in loud-music trial

The jury decided on his guilt. A judge can't do that in a trial.

the judge could actually reject the jury verdict and issue an acquittal. I see the anti gun fanatics are going to try to argue guns should be banned because of this guy

Re: Michael Dunn found guilty of 1st-degree murder in loud-music trial

Wrong. An innocent man will be doing time for a crime he did not commit. And the community is a lot safer with the real thug having killed.

firing ten shots into a vehicle is hard to justify when there was no return firing going on

Hard or impossible?

Re: Michael Dunn found guilty of 1st-degree murder in loud-music trial

well if the vehicle was trying to run an armed guy down that might justify hosing it down when no one in the car was a firing at you

Hard to justify?
Depends on the incident.

In this case, on how the information was presented and argued to the Jury.
The person threatened to kill him was perceived to have the means and apparently was acting on the threat by getting out of the vehicle to carry through with the threat.
The threat had been established, and even though that threat ducked for cover, it was still present in the vehicle while the shots were fired.
Nor was there any way he could have seen if they were preparing to return fire or not. Continuing to fire until the threat ceases to be a threat is logical and normal.
And that only happened after the vehicle with the threat still inside got far enough away.

I would like to see a ban on white guys murdering un-armed black teens.

I would like to see a ban on white guys shooting un-armed black teens.

That would be ridiculous.
Especially when those "black teens"/aka young men, are using there hands, arms, feet and legs as lethal weapons.
And as such in this case, intimating that they have a weapon in which to carry out their threat to kill you.
How about you stop those young men from acting this way, and you would not have to worry about them getting shot in the first place.

I don't see the Judge setting aside the verdict.

Talk about ridiculous ...:lamo
How many people did Davis kill with his hands and arms and feet and legs?
We know that Dunn murdered a kid with his gun.

i would like to see a ban on black kids killing black kids. where is the outrage?
ol yea black on black violence who cares right?

and here is the race card epic fail.

Re: Michael Dunn found guilty of 1st-degree murder in loud-music trial

He can file an appeal.

How was what he did " premeditated " ?

The time needed to form the premeditation needed for first-degree murder may be very short--only a few moments. Just because someone commits a homicide without taking much time to think doesn't necessarily mean he may only be found guilty of second-degree murder or manslaughter, because he acted in the heat of passion.

It already exists, except it doesn't take skin color into account like you do.

yep i agree i didn't think he had a defense to begin with. murder 1 i think is over the top but they thought otherwise.
this will go up for appeal of course, but he still has about 60 years on the other charges.

waiting to see how the movie theatre case comes out.

This is nothing more than dishonesty on your part because this case was referenced after that with the following words.

And as such in this case, intimating that they have a weapon in which to carry out their threat to kill you.

So stop with the dishonesty.

And again.
How about you stop those young men from acting this way, and you would not have to worry about them getting shot in the first place.

This 1st degree murder conviction is a start in the right direction.

Re: Michael Dunn found guilty of 1st-degree murder in loud-music trial

Dunn deserved the chair for what he did. You cant kill people just because their music is too loud for you.

The wisdom of the Dunn defenders around here is that as long as you call them thugs it is open season on black teens.

You lack an understanding of the evidence.

Dunn was responding to the threat made against his life by the thug.
Not because music was too loud. Duh!

Yeah you and the other stormfronters might think that way if you believe Dunn but thankfully nobody else believed his lies either, including the jury.

Can your storefront bs.
Secondly; You do not know that.:doh One or a few may have believed him but misapplied the law, caved into pressure, etc...
You just don't know.

You just don't know.

Dunn is the only one claiming he was threatened- nobody else backs him up and the evidence also points against that. Dunn's own girlfriend (who was there) testified against him. Dunn also ran away from the scene and made no mention of the shooting to anyone or called the authorities. Sorry, but the man is guilty- its as plain as day.

Re: Michael Dunn found guilty of 1st-degree murder in loud-music trial

Stop playing games.
You already know what threat, and if you didn't it was already provided.

When a person threatens to kill you. That is a threat. When they start getting out of the vehicle to carry through with their threat, they are a threat.
And when they display an object which was interpreted to be a gun, that intimates the ability to carry through with the threat.

Stop playing games.
That evidence was not disproved.

In a fit of rage Dunn decided to use his pistol as a volume control because the kids disrespected him.
His feeble attempts at a flimsy defense were neither convincing nor credible.
I wonder how much respect he gets now from the prison population...
