Liberals disdain our nation, they probably see it as an insult.

Which tells us Obama is looking for another race baiter to appoint as AG.

Here is a case of the Democrats in the House insisting that a SCOTUS Justice Recuse himself because of a potential Conflict of interest:

House Dems demand Thomas recusal on ObamaCare

Seventy-four House Democrats are asking Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas to recuse himself from any health care reform cases, citing reports that his wife financially benefited from efforts to repeal the legislation.

The members, led by Rep. Anthony Weiner (D-N.Y.), ask that he “maintain the integrity of this court.”

...

As I said earlier, there are many legal precedents to the need for President Obama to recuse himself from the next A.G. Nomination.

name any decisions made by Devall Patrick that can be defined as idiotic.

I'll start with raising the sales tax in Massachusetts.

You may want to do a little reading on the casino gambling issue in MA too. That stumble and his idiotic behavior damn near killed his career.

For fun controversies, there was the drapery faux pas and Ameriquest. Just a few.

That is only because the new AG will be just as absurdly partisan as Holder has been, just wait and see.

This is a political stunt, though. Holder will stay on through the 2014 elections and if the Dems keep the Senate he will "reconsider" his choice.

You got that Right JM.....also what do you think about BO saying this is bittersweet? Despite knowing for months that Holder was stepping down. Holder complained before of not being able to handle the pressure. Plus with the way BO peep does things. It more than likely made the job even harder.

Among the potential candidates the White House is considering to replace Eric Holder Jr. as attorney general are Donald Verrilli Jr., the current U.S. solicitor general; Kamala Harris, California’s attorney general; and Sheldon Whitehouse, a two-term Democratic senator from Rhode Island. White House officials have known about Holder’s plans to step down for months, but the decision wasn’t finalized until Holder and President Obama discussed it in a one-on-one conversation over Labor Day weekend. As recently as this August, Obama was still trying to persuade Holder to stay, according to a source familiar with the conversation. While vacationing around the same time on Martha’s Vineyard, Obama gently pressured Holder to rethink his plans to retire, even waxing nostalgic about the heady days of the 2008 campaign when the two men cemented their personal friendship.

Obama knows that getting a new attorney general confirmed by the Senate — which could possibly be controlled by the Republicans come January — will be challenging, particularly deep in the second term of his presidency. White House officials have been quietly vetting potential candidates for months, according to knowledgeable sources. One source identified Verrilli as the leading candidate right now. Verrilli gained national attention when he defended the legal challenge to the Affordable Care Act before the U.S. Supreme Court in 2012. It was widely panned as a wobbly performance, but he prevailed in the end. Obama called to praise him both after the oral arguments and after the victory. Verrilli also served as a lawyer in the Obama White House, where he was well respected for his legal acumen and beloved for his gracious personality.....snip~

Also.....that's who some Officials think. Earlier in the thread I mentioned who Valerie Jarrett had brought to BO's Attention back in 2012.

No matter who takes Holder's place or what that person does he or she will face the same attacks from the right that Holder has endured.

Don't take my word for this, just wait and see.

Think Obama will replace him with someone just as radical?

You don't have to respond, its a rhetorical question.

The most politically driven and corrupt Attorney General in the past 100 years or more.

Well, he's certainly a contender. He should never have been AG in the first place.

You know it is bad when the liberals on this board can't defend this mans tenure.

No, this diatribe does not warrant a response from liberals. It is outrageous.

Then you can be the first to defend Holders record as AG, and......GO

Maybe they're as dumbfounded as I am by the fact that the Obama WH is engaging Al Sharpton in discussions about Holder's replacement.

If you want to see just how common the need recuse is among public officials,

Just Google: Recuse himself conflict of interest

 If we're being honest for a second, you and the vast majority of americans couldn't name more than 5 without googling.

Have you ever read a civics textbook?

Excuse me, but the President does pick his nominee and the Senate confirms. It is the President's selection.

Nice try, boyo.

Mitchell ringing a bell?

I wonder what the real reason is? And don't tell he wants to spend more time with his family.
Probably not a complicated answer. He's likely just weary of the job itself. He's had one of the longest tenures as AG in US history.
