Mushroom cloud over a US city. HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHA

You want me to live in fear because we can't stop bombing the ME for decades? No. We're not in any more danger than we have been in the past. Terrorism is a probability, a rather low one at that, though given enough time you will see the probability work out. But that's not enough to excuse the actions of government. Everything has probabilities, hell freedom has probabilities with it. A probability tends to be better than the certainty of government action.

And mushroom clouds? Please, that bit of juvenile propaganda and fear mongering isn't going to work here. Get better material.

Dddduuuudddeeee, sarcasm!!!!

Meh, what's the probability on that happening? Pretty sure my probability of death today has not changed from its historic values.

Who knows.....but now think back to 2012. Think BO and his team has ever had this much info before? Ever recall them being so vocal.

I suppose you think Al Qaeda attacked us because we have Starbucks, Gap Jeans and capitalism.

In bin Laden's November 2002 "Letter to America",[3][4] he explicitly stated that al-Qaeda's motives for their attacks include: Western support for attacking Muslims in Somalia, supporting Russian atrocities against Muslims in Chechnya, supporting the Indian oppression against Muslims in Kashmir, the Jewish aggression against Muslims in Lebanon, the presence of U.S. troops in Saudi Arabia,[4][5][6] U.S. support of Israel,[7][8] and sanctions against Iraq.[9]

Well, if you can't trust Osama bin Laden to speak the truth about his motives then who can you trust?

Bin Laden's letter to America was thin propaganda meant to target the weak willed and spin them against the US. It worked. Al Qaeda's actual motive in their attacks is to start a war. They WANT a war with the West not because of something we did, but because war with the West is part of their bat**** crazy plan to create the new Caliphate.

This was done so much better in 1988:

Hans: The following people are to be released from their captors: In Northern Ireland, the seven members of the New Provo Front. In Canada, the five imprisoned leaders of Liberte de Quebec. In Sri Lanka, the nine members of the Asian Dawn movement...

John McClane: [listening on the radio] What the f***?

Karl: [mouthing silently] Asian Dawn?

Hans: [covers the radio] I read about them in Time magazine.

What's your point? I was responding to someone's comment on the 9/11 attacks 13 years ago.

My point was.....ISIS ideology is a bit different than AQ. Which they are looking to play off Islam more than AQ ever was.

But I didn't speak to the Islamic State?!?!

Nah, I was just adding to your material with AQ. As ISIS came out later and said the same thing as AQ. About US presence.

Oh ok, now I understand your point. Funny how the elephant in the room blends in with the wallpaper so!

In 2006 Congress passed the Secure Fence Act and it was signed into law that October by George W. Bush. The fence was to be built including infra-red cameras on poles to assist border patrol. The money was budgeted for the project. The project was started but in the 6 years under Obama to continue the building of the fence has been ignored. For the last couple of years there have been several warnings from members of our own intelligence of people threatening the U.S. have been making their way into this country through the porous Mexican border. They have reported the border patrol has apprehended a few but the truth of the matter there are thousands of people making their way into this country undetected.

If anything should have been learned from 9/11 it is that our intelligence agencies be able to share information with one another and that our visa program be reformed. Under Obama the number of visas being issued into this country have soared. And recently it was reported that there are hundreds of those who are "questionable" and a possible threat are among us on expired visas that the government has lost track of.

Last week it was reported that citizens of this country that our government was well aware of for months, had joined ISIS in Syria/Iraq. Instead of pulling their passports they allowed them to return to this country. Now they tell us they are under surveillance.

Last week it was reported soldiers from Afghanistan and all over were here in the US to be trained at our military facilities. Five Afghanistan soldiers were reported to have gone AWOL. The government issued a statement claiming there was no threat as these soldiers were all well vetted. They were found trying to get across the border into Canada.

All the above examples put the American people at great risk unnecessarily due to feckless people in charge and their asinine thinking that lacks common sense.

Yeah V.....at least a hundred they said. Although a Democrat was citing 40 Americans that have fought for ISIS.

Why American Jihadists Returning To The US Aren't Arrested Immediately
Business Insider 8 minutes ago

On September 22nd, Obama administration officials confirmed that the FBI is monitoring Americans who have returned to the US after fighting alongside the militant Islamist group ISIS. An official speaking to reporters at the White House said the National Counterterrorism Center estimates that more than 100 Americans were fighting for ISIS and other terrorist groups such as al-Nusra Front, an Al Qaeda affiliate. Last week, New York Democratic congressman Tim Bishop said in a speech outside of Congress that up to 40 fighters had returned to the US from the ISIS ranks, but that the organization didn't yet pose a threat to national security. US officials quickly dismissed the figure.

Gottlieb wouldn't speculate as to the administration's motivations in revealing the presence of former ISIS fighters in the US. But as a blogger at Hot Air notes, this week's announcement doesn't make much sense if it came in the course of an ongoing surveillance effort: "The revelation that the FBI is conducting an ongoing investigation into suspected American jihadist fighters who have returned to the United States would seem to compromise that investigation."

One thing the Bush Administration did very correctly was to remind the American people that it is not a case of "If" they attack us again . . . it's a case of "When". Will the future attacks ever be as dramatic and world shaking as 9/11? Probably not, but we will be hit again.

Maybe we need it to get our heads out of the sand.

Well with what just happened to Yemen.....we will need to get our people out of there. Hope they started to evacuate the Embassy there.

All of our people overseas need to be on High Alert.

Agreed . . . and anyone who is scared may get behind me.

Well one thing is for certain around here in Chicago. They wont be running around sportin any Black and Gold as their Colors.

You can pre-emptively attack ANY country for that reason using that excuse though. That's a precedence I did not like that Bush has created.

I think we need to pull out ALL of our embassies save Israel IMO. It's too much of a hot spot right now and our embassies are nothing but targets at this point.

Yeah . . . we bleed Orange and Blue . . . screw the Saints.

We should bring our people back. Let the rest of the world burn if they let it.

Yeah, we had pulled our people out of Libya and sent them to Tunisia. Did you see that with Yemen. I don't know why we didn't see that coming. I had up all their Protests for a Unity government. The Shia have been amassing there for weeks.
