They are places run by community organizers?
Liberal indoctrination centers?
In my mind's eye I keep seeing that scene from A Clockwork Orange.
They are places run by community organizers?
Liberal indoctrination centers?
When I think of the number of people in recent years that have been accused of funny business when it comes to campaign financing and support, it brings to mind certain arrogent individuals who deny, deny, deny in front of the cameras. Then I look at people like D'Souza and I must say there a level of admiration about the way he handled the whole thing. Sure, he broke the law and he is rightly paying the price, but at least he didn't get in front of the cameras and lie his ass off like so many others that come to mind.
Here, this is what I'm talking about:
"Yes, I'm guilty, but I'm being unfairly targeted."
Scumbag.
He admitted guilt and told the truth on both counts, and this qualifies as being a scumbag?
Sorry, but a scumbag is someone who does something wrong and doesn't have the integrity to admit their mistake.
He admitted guilt and told the truth on both counts, and this qualifies as being a scumbag? He did not use the unfair targeting as an excuse for his actions.

He qualified it by complaining he was being unfairly targeted. Scumbags do that. People with some level of integrity who are caught committing a crime know they're guilty and serve their punishment and shut the **** up. He sounds like a grade school child punished for clogging the toilets and complains that not enough other other were punished as well. If D'Souza were seven years old his behavior would make sense. But he's an adult so he's just a scumbag. His character is seriously piss poor.
He never used it as an excuse for his actions... He was singled out for prosecution and that's a fact.
There's no excuse for breaking the law and like I said, he is now paying the price for it... At least he manned up for what he did instead of pulling a Blago or Birtha Lewis.
Does anyone know what exactly a "community confinement center" is?
I could agree with you that a scumbag doesn't in fact admit to their crimes. Can we compromise and agree on "low character ****weasel?"

The act itself was stupid and dishonest... But unlike most, he didn't run around denying what he did and claiming he was the innocent victim of a political conspiricy.
He didn't "man up," he was caught. And then after being caught he cried to the press like a little bitch that he was being unfairly targeted. He's a low character ****weasel.
Did he ever deny the charges? No..
Was he unfairly targeted? Yes...
Sounds to me like you're letting your personal hatred cloud your judgement.
You beat me to that one. He ruined lives in violating the public trust while lining his pockets to support his extravagant lifestyle. He deserved well more than he will end up serving.
how was he guilty yet "unfairly targeted"?
Madoff put people in the poorhouse by stealing their life's savings. that is malum per se. what DD did is malum prohibitum
meaning it is illegal because laws are passed saying its illegal-not because it is objectively wrong
for people like Madoff, the best punishment is to impoverish them and force them to spend the rest of their years on earth working off what they took from other. Madoff is brilliant so he can use his intelligence to help enrich those he cheated
as to DD-its a stupid law that should not exist in the first place

Or a Charlie Rangel or a Tim Geithner, who did a "oops I made a mistake" after being caught.
Rangel was the chair of the Ways and Means Committee -which is responsible for the tax code that impacts every single one of us - while he was breaking more than a single law he was tasked with upholding. And he never saw a minute of jail time nor community center living - and he remains in Congress to this day.
got it
as a former officer of the court, a former practicing attorney, you find that those who do engage in fraud should not be subjected to incarceration
too twisted for those of us who reside in the real world

madoff is currently enjoying superstar status while in prisonMy only concern is how he would take advantage of the sentence to simply make enough to sustain himself and not a penny more for those he stole from, all just to stay out of prison. In principle it's a neat idea, though fuzzy in the execution.
