As I understand it, Tomahawks are long range guided missiles typically used in the initial stages of an assault to minimize risk to pilots on some targets. We probably wont use them on an extended basis. And, they are pricey mojo's.
The Washington Post is reporting that our Navy used up 47 Tomahawk missles last night during the strike.

That's 47% of the budgeted supply for 2015. (100 in total due to major military cuts and none budgeted for more)

Guess our inventory is around 4000 and that would be enough to supply us for about ten weeks worth at the current rate.

Each one of these missiles costs over a million to produce. The cost aside, how long does it take to produce one because we could be totally depleted of them in 10 weeks? And if we are short in supply of Tomahawks, how many other weapons got severely slashed in the budget that are needed to maintain this "air war"?
