Australia raids foil reported ISIS beheading plots | Fox News

Australian counterterrorism forces detained 15 people Thursday in a series of suburban raids after receiving intelligence that the Islamic State movement was planning public beheadings in two Australian cities to demonstrate its reach.

About 800 federal and state police officers raided more than a dozen properties across 12 Sydney suburbs as part of the operation -- the largest in Australian history, Australian Federal Police Deputy Commissioner Andrew Colvin told the Associated Press. Separate raids in the eastern cities of Brisbane and Logan were also conducted.

The Australian Broadcasting Corporation reported that the plan involved kidnapping randomly selected members of the public off the streets in Sydney and Brisbane, beheading them on camera, and releasing the recordings through Islamic State's propaganda arm in the Middle East.

Way to go Aussies.

Great.

Now, who is going to stop the beheading's carried out by the Saudi Arabian government?

'It appears that the majority of those executed in August were guilty of nonlethal crimes, including drug trafficking, adultery, apostasy and "sorcery." Four members of one family, Amnesty reports, were beheaded for "receiving drugs"'

Saudi Arabia, key to Obama’s strategy, beheaded at least 8 people last month - The Washington Post

And this has ZERO to do with ISIS, how about you go derail another thread?

Nobody is. What do you expect out of Saudi Arabia? What I am primarily concerned about is the spreading of barbaric and savage thinkers in western democratic societies. This is nothing new in the ME, and they will doubtful be making great strides any time soon.

Our terror alert was raised to high late last week which was a good indication that something was being planned. One of those detained is believed to be the most senior Australian ISIL leader. Really good work by our Police and counter terrorism security forces to get these maniacs before they carried out their evil acts. It does give some small comfort to know that they are "on the ball".

The issue here is Sydney, not ISIS. Australia would be a better place if we shipped Sydney off to New Zealand or something.

Great News and great job by the Aussies.

These supporters were going to just go out and start cutting peoples heads off. Its all on the News over here. Especially After the NEW AQ in Pakistan made a successful attack yesterday.

Over here.....in the US. The Police will be hard pressed to arrest and save the lives of any ISIS supporters. As they will be running for their lives and to save the rest of their families.

Or simply recruiting people would be a smarter option?

I don't care what they are doing D. :2wave: If they support ISIS.....and they open their mouths at any time around others. Then let them face the consequences of their own actions. As it is written.....Let it be so!

You know what I am concerned with?

So these volunteers went to IS and risked their lives for a dead end cause. Even freaking Iran is against them. Do you think this is enough for them to see that they were wrong all along and the rest of the world was not?

Its not surprising Iran and the Shia would be against the Sunni Led Terrorists. Its no different with Iran being against the Saudi, Qatar, or any other Sunni led Countries. This was always to be expected.

Nah, but Saudi's are against them too. Not many support them except brainwashed idiots from the free world of Europe, USA, Canada, etc that do not know what to do with their freedom.

So the whole world is against them. Eventually they will fall and the soldiers come back to where they were. Do you think they will acknowledge that they were wrong to support ISIS all along?

Well the whole world isn't against them D......they are getting funding. They are spreading. Which the funding came from Qatar and the Saud. The Saud are against them Officially....not unofficially.

The problem I see, comes from Sharia. That which the Saud bases their Laws off of. Despite them saying they are moderate.

But, my question is not answered? Second time?

I don't think they will ever answer the question or say much about it.....they got on the World Stage and said they oppose ISIS. So they will do what they need to, just to show this.

But now when there are no Cameras, No World Stage.....what do you think they will do?

Whose "them?" You mean Saudis and other ISIS supporters?

I meant the brainwashed Caucasians from USA, Canada, and Europe. When they return back from the failed ISIS operations, when they realize that they have been fooled to risk their lives over a lost cause, I am asking you what do you think, would they admit it that they were wrong?

Separate further, weaken, and disappear. Hopefully if this extremist chaos is removed the Assad opposition maybe we could get back to him?

Yeah, The Saud and Qatar.

No, I doubt they will admit they were wrong as they will say the fight is not over.

I doubt that they will admit that they were wrong even after the fight is long over.

Well, they can still grab a switch if they need to stop a beheading.

hmmm.gif
Switch and behead.....I see what you did there. :2razz:

I don't think Terrorists carry Switchblades.
