White House: Obama to Delay Immigration Action

You DID NOT throw my words back at me. You accused the Obama administration of unconstitutional use of powers and then said people like me would beg for mercy when the GOP took over and used the unconstitutional powers on me.

Try to keep your own accusations and claims straight.

Post 19 of this thread:

Haymarket: "When you start it and it comes back to bend you over the table - you got what you deserved. that is both righteous and honest."

Oh yeah....We shall see who bends whom over a table.....My guess is that will be about the time you take a break from posting for a while.....

A prophecy that no doubt could be stemmed by simply rationally approaching our illegal immigration problem...Close the border first, then we can talk.
Um, the declining support for the GOP by US Hispanic citizens, who are a fast growing demographic due to BIRTHS, is not going to be boosted by irrational xenophobia.

Immigration Enforcement is actually a GOP benefit issue.
Not really, it isn't drawing a larger share of the fast growing population demographic, Hispanics (who are growing primarily from US births and at a rate that is going to increase). All it is doing is holding on to the old White vote....which is a declining share.
Sure. Feel free to ignore the polling data. :)
The polling data you cited (that you said I did not read) states:

The president’s handling of immigration also seems to be a partisan issue, as 60 percent of Democrats agreed with Obama’s handling while only 25 percent of independents and 8 percent of Republicans agree with the steps he has taken.

So it is primarily GOP voter disagreeing with his policy, which is ironic since the primary reason those Democrats disapprove is because of the VERY HIGH deportation rates.....something a thinking con would would cheer.

But again, as I pointed out to you and mac, the GOP xenophobia is not a winning strategy, it will only end the Old White Party.

I was clearly talking about politicians in Washington who deserved payback for their years of obstruction. You made threats against me stating that unconstitutional powers would have me crying for mercy.

I am surprised you do not know the difference in the two. Come to think of it, i bet you do know but you just don't care.

A country without borders is not a country. But then, that's the goal for you guy's isn't it?

Made threats against you? Talk about paranoid...I don't know you, nor do I care to.

Yes - you said I would be crying for mercy when the GOP took over when they unleashed something unconstitutional.

So you are fine dishing out rhetoric, but can't take it....Typical.

Why are you playing ostrich and pretending that you do not understand who I was talking about and the difference in who you threatened?

Oh wait!!! I know... because its me who you are arguing with. :doh Never mind.

I didn't 'threaten' anyone....You're just being ridiculous...

Here are your very words

It ought to be cause for liberal progressives to worry...When repubs gain back total control over federal power, and they will, then some of the same crap that people like you cheered on while it was your hero's doing it, will have you squealing for mercy when it is used against you.

So while will I be squealing for mercy when the Republicans gain power and what exactly will they do?

:) Fixed that for you.

Oh.... I'm thinking I bet that the IRS could find lots of fraud if they were to, say, direct their efforts at our nations major labor unions.

As an additional matter, it is unfair to doubly tax income. I therefore think that the President should choose to exercise "prosecutorial discretion" with regards to capital gains taxes.

Unfair to double tax income? Capital gains taxes? What are you talking about?

I'm talking about when the next Republican President declares that "this issue is too urgent" and "if Congress will not act" then "he has a pen and a phone" and decides to get rid of the capital gains tax, haymarket :) Not that he's actually getting rid of it, mind you.... just.... you know.... exercising "prosecutorial discretion" :).

Good luck finding someone with standing to sue! :D

Where is the DOUBLE part you mentioned?

Those two "bitterest" years will be the ticket to Democratic landslides in 2016. The absolute best thing that can happen to Obama and the Congress is for the GOP to take the Senate this year and then go absolutely bonkers with every crackpot extremist right wing wet dream being enacted into passed bills that Obama can stand proudly before the nation and loudly VETO proclaiming himself as the last line of rational defense against dangerous extremists.

You could not ask for a better formula for Democratic success in 2016.

This is so right on. Can you imagine the spew of ideology that would come out of a bicameral GOP -- proclamations about "legitimate rape," ecstasies about returning to the gold standard, creationism required to be taught in science classes, calls for out of control defense spending on useless weapons, deregulation of pollution as "natural" (that's Reaganesque), internment camps for illegal immigrants . . . It will be as if Glenn Beck were Speaker of the House and Rush Limbaugh were leader of the Senate.

and I suspect that would be only the tip of the iceberg. I would also expect to see efforts to repeal the graduated income tax and either get rid of or seriously emasculate the IRS. They would also most likely reduce or even repeal corporate taxes and do the same with the capital gains tax.

A country without borders is not a country. But then, that's the goal for you guy's isn't it?
Tautology followed with a rhetorical question...to counter a basic facts.

You lose.

Yeah man...it those GOP supporters that are really up in arms about Obama's illegal immigration positions...THATS why he is postponing his actions.

The fact is...there is only so much he CAN do. Frankly...his mouth has been writing checks his office cant cash. He can do a lot with Executive Orders...but he CANNOT usurp law. Immigration law is what it is.

A few videos means nothing.

Actually, it means the world. You actually think the president is delaying immigration action because GOP voters?

So, where in that did I threaten you, haymarket? Clearly you don't grasp rhetorical response. Not my problem.

Perhaps you DID NOT read your OWN WORDS in the very post that I printed them in that you just used to springboard to this post from you?

Now how could that even be possible?

I was talking about politicians getting payback and you attempted to tell me I would be squealing for mercy when the GOP took over.

get real here.
