Police officer resigns, another is fired after Ferguson incidents[W:76]

Re: Police officer resigns, another is fired after Ferguson incidents

`
Anecdotal - Flatout, I personally know of two city policemen who worked in communities with a sizable black population. Both got so burned out they quit as they saw themselves turning prejudicial. They explained it to me in depth. Two things struck me; a) a police administration that was unsympathetic and unresponsive to their malaise. b) What is scary is that there are many police that don't see (or refuse to recognize) how their behavior has changed towards certain people and don't seek help or just quit.

None of this excuses the aggressive, inhuman actions of police but the way I see, police administrations are behind much of this.

Re: Police officer resigns, another is fired after Ferguson incidents

Rioting and destroying your own community is not the answer but I can't say I'm shocked - free for all - steal as much as you want!

There is an appropriate way to deal with situations like this and ripping people off and acting like monkeys is not the correct way...

I absolutely understand the anger but ripping businesses off is not the RIGHT thing to do... That is just terrible - they did nothing wrong.

This is why guns are good!

Re: Police officer resigns, another is fired after Ferguson incidents

Yep, any displays of humanity while wearing a badge makes you a worthless waste of oxygen. Maybe if we're lucky, they'll do the honorable thing, right? When was the last time someone expressed sadness over a cop losing his/her life or acknowledging a job well done? Actually, getting away from law enforcement is probably the best thing to happen to them. I swear they should all just walk off the job since almost nobody gives a **** about what happens to them anyway.

Wow....advocating a police walk out in the wake of two cops losing their jobs!

Unbelievable! Not one suggestion that these cops, one of whom pointed a ****ing machine gun at people and threatened to kill them, might have, maybe erred, or even crossed a line.

Meanwhile, while dribbling the usual bull**** about cops dying and no one cares that pops up every time a cop kills someone, which is a lot for you guys, you actually condone what would be criminal behavior in any advanced society. You know what?, even in The People's Republic of China the police can't do that.....but the American right insists this is all about "freedom" and the cops should be allowed to beat heads because their in a bad mood over weeks of demonstrating and riots that the police caused......now that's "security"

If the threat to produce deliberate chaos is not an indication of the military/bully attitude these good people are protesting I have no idea what it might be. You did not get your way, cops have been rightfully disciplined for what would be criminal behavior anywhere else and your reaction is to threaten to leave the post of "serve and protect" and trigger the greatest civil war/race riot in the history of mankind.

Yeah, that's a fine example of American police attitudes

I think there was a tremendous outpouring of support when those two cops were gunned down at the WalMart in Las Vegas by those extremist loons. Wouldn't you agree?

Re: Police officer resigns, another is fired after Ferguson incidents

It is high time the police took control and took back their streets. Enough of this **** with people walking around, disobeying whims.

They need to call for back up and bring in the National Guard with fixed bayonets, a railroad car full of tear gas, some rpg's and much bigger tanks and APC's.

so far, letting these protesting swine live has only brought trouble and now has cost the jobs of two fine, pig headed, racist cops with what appear to be personality disorders or substance abuse issues....both of which should be mandatory anyway for such a dangerous job.

When the body bags start piling up, people start getting the message....just ask Vladimir Putin.

Actually, he had disciplinary action taken against him 3 times prior to this.

Then that's a pattern of a disciplinary problem, and more a justification for termination or forced retirement.

**** this - this **** happens to white people too and no one gives a ****...

You want examples?

The cops are storm troopers and they see no color other than Blue. It seems the only time people care is when a black kid gets popped - then progressives go into "I'm morally superior mode, and while I'm at it Imma steal me a HDTV."

Re: Police officer resigns, another is fired after Ferguson incidents

Please Xy--yer one of my favorite people on this board when yer not like this.

Thanks Nim. I know I'm in pissed off petulance mode right now. Probably past time to take a break.

A great moderate DEM governor has been tarred-and-feathered by the Black community unfairly.

And where are the GOPs walking their "moderate" line defending him?
Why has Sen. Blunt-R Missouri been so silent?

Because if a Republican breaths even the slightest criticism of someone who happens to be black, you know what the allegations will be.

Yer astute enough to see this election slipping away from GOPs on their month off as they keep talking.
Meanwhile, GOPs have turned up the volume as to how they're going to wipe out the Dems, a sure sign of weakness .

I'll give that one to you. I don't like these grand predictions. If there's anything I've learned from being a Cowboys fan, it's to not count your win until there's no time left on the clock.

Actually that's a broad brush. There are conservatives that are against police abuse as well. I realise most of them here on this board are fine with it, its mostly conservative libertarians that take issue with it.

...of course, I'm not a cop. I'm not even related to any (well other than some great uncle who was a sheriff in some small town a long time before I was born).

And that changes your condoning of these crimes how?

That makes you exempt somehow of advocating nation-wide rioting.

Notice I never said you were cop, but "attitude"

I'm advocating the rioting? You're the one whose all, "These rioters and looters are just good, salt of the earth people who just want to take back their streets from Darth Vader dressing, swear word saying, social media posting scum of the earth pigs."

Why should cops risk their lives for folks who don't give a damn about them in the first place?

Yeah, dammit! People should b able to rape, pillage and burn as they please, without having to worry about the cops stopping them!

Re: Police officer resigns, another is fired after Ferguson incidents

Because if a Republican breaths even the slightest criticism of someone
who happens to be black, you know what the allegations will be.
I note with presidential ambitions how Senators Paul and Cruz have actually spoke out against militarization of the police.

I find it comforting to listen to the most informative political news I can find.
So I'll recommend Bret Baier at 5:00 Central on FOX during the week as the only hour I would watch if limited to one hour a day.

As I channel flip today, I've found CNN/MSNBC to be very good right now and last hour because no one is stepping on another's conversation and the defense of Obama is really missing.

I'll give that one to you. I don't like these grand predictions.
If there's anything I've learned from being a Cowboys fan, it's to not count your win until there's no time left on the clock.

I see FOX back to trying to win the Senate today, though they do have a good by-line for up-to-date news---I just mute it.

In another post, I'll detail to you how NEITHER party may have control in the Senate throughout the next term.
Dana's prediction on A. King from ME switching parties is close, though I see King forming a 3rd party in the Senate.
Remember all those Senate gangs that formed and actually got something done?

Independent Orman has a good chance to rock the Senate from Kansas and hasn't committed to either party.
Sanders-I-VT is hell-bent on leaving his mark, currently traveling the South and gauging a run for POTUS as a DEM or an INDY.
I read a story from a decent GOP writer discussing Manchin-D-WV switching parties if the GOP wins the Senate.
Instead, I can see a 4 or 6 man team to make both parties come together.

And that doesn't begin to address the almost guaranteed run-off in Louisiana Dec. 6th.

Not to mention a good possibility of a run-off in Gerorgia due to a strong Libertarian and a 50% rule on Nov. 4th.
The unreal part on this one is the run-off being Jan. 6th 2015, AFTER the New Congress is supposed to begin.

Poor little mistreated police man, how sad.

Re: Police officer resigns, another is fired after Ferguson incidents

How annoying that must be to people who know better than to care for a piece of machinery. At least try not to begrudge the mourners too much. They're probably family and didn't know they shouldn't give a **** any more.

Maybe this cop will be forced to go on welfare. I bet that would give him a new appreciation for the downtrodden.

Re: Police officer resigns, another is fired after Ferguson incidents

Poor little mistreated police man, how sad.

Please. Expressions of sympathy for cops, even disingenuous ones, are not appreciated.

Re: Police officer resigns, another is fired after Ferguson incidents

Source? Not a chance. I seriously doubt it ever happened. Or ever will.

Oh, thank God. I truly would have no respect for any cop making cookies for rioters.

How is demilitarization of the police supposed to work? Give them BB guns, or what?

You have advocated the actions of the cops who broke the law.

You have advocated the withdrawal of services of every cop in the US which would lead to nationwide riots, looting, murders and mayhem in a selfish and petty respnse to two cops being justifiably fired.

And yes, the last time I looked, every citizen in American is an innocent until PROVEN guilty fine, upstanding citizen.....unless you're black, ugly and happen to get shot by a cop. Then you are a "thug", "thief" and all manner of **** the NRA/Cops are gods crowd has been spewing since this thing broke.

In future, it would be best to read and understand all of what I've posted before replying.

So, it's nothing to do with what he did, but who he did it to? You would be ok with his conduct, had he applied it to someone you don't like? Say, the Koch brothers?
