Someone should have told Burger King.strawman / hyperbole.more hyperbole. tax rates are historically low.

Someone should have told Burger King.
which is why we should cut corporate taxes and tax individual income instead.
According to the graph you provided the two highest tax rates were during Wilson, and FDR....Shocking. Is that what you would like to see? Tax rates at the top of 80 to 90%?
It might be a good idea to do something sooner rather than later. Mitt Romney and Paul Ryan planned tax reform but the electorate voted for Obama's plan instead.
This is what an Ohio Senator worries about?
Hey idiot Senator?
If you want Burger King to stay then make the corporate tax laws/regs more corporate friendly.
Do you really think Burger King is leaving for ANY other reason then financial? Or do you think they have a sudden passion for hockey, poutine and more snow?
Moron.
i'm not going to waste time on strawman fallacies. if you'd like to have a discussion with me, it will be a rational one.
What did I say that wasn't "rational"???? Look at the graph....The two highest rates are both during the Presidencies I listed.... So, I am asking...80% to 90%, is that the rates you'd like to see this country return to?
And if your answer is yes, then what do you suppose would happen today with the wealth in this country....Remember, they have the means to leave.
in no point in this thread did i indicate that i supported a confiscatory top marginal rate. i only support top rates above fifty percent during wartime.
perhaps before we continue this discussion, you should :
a. read the thread.
b. read what i actually posted in the thread.
i support a tiered marginal structure and taxing all income as income above a cap. i also support cutting the corporate rate. you would have already known this if you had actually taken the time to read what i posted before tossing out your strawman and then hitting it like a piñata.
Not according to the constitution.
Thanks. That's all I was asking...
Gheeze, take a chill pill....I don't know what you problem is but you are awfully defensive...
Fox News Link
I am wondering how his constituents that are employed by Burger King feel about this. Way to throw them under the bus Sherrod.
strawman / hyperbole.
When you pretend that I advocated for a ninety percent peacetime marginal rate, then yes, I'm going to correct that and point out your strawman.
It's really Burger King's fault. But people don't need to eat that crap, anyway. It's not really food. It's chemicals and additives and pink slime.
If the deal means more Tim Horton's here in the US, I'm all for it.
I love it when I have to take a load to Columbus OH. I usually park right behind one, and the morning is that much better gettin' me some Horton's before hitting the road back.
