Michael Brown was a robbery suspect before he was shot to death, police say

I have been just watching to see more information. I want to know the truth before I stick my foot in my mouth and make any ASSumptions.

More information just in recorded inadvertently by two more witnesses right after shooting:
A Witness Conversation Unknowingly Captured at the Scene of the Ferguson Shooting is a Game-Changer

This does seem to be a game-changer. I wonder if the toxicology reports will show that Brown was on something. Why else would he "bum-rush" the cop?

I am still looking for more information to come out. I just have a feeling there is something we still don't know that is significant.

Then the narrative will be " just because he ran at the Cop after hitting him doesn't mean you can shoot him "

You don't have to be a thug to catch the interest of Ferguson cops.
You just have to be black with the same name but different SS number of someone sought by police.

What do you get? A beating whilst hand cuffed, a concussion and a slap in the face by the justice system. Team America **** YEAH!

Use-of-force investigations in Ferguson a "joke," attorney says

This has nothing to do with Brown attacking the Officer.

just background material
if the ferguson police are willing to beat the living daylights out of an innocent black because they are too lazy or too incompetent to very his identity, why should anyone be surprised they are willing to execute an unarmed robbery suspect who was in the act of surrendering?

and the ridiculous BS of 'destroying public property by bleeding on the officers' uniforms' because they were beating the living daylight out of an innocent black man?

I think what we don't know at this point is more significant & more vast than what we do know.

Maybe, maybe not. Did he issue a verbal command while the suspect was running at him? Not that he is absolutely required to. Tennessee v garner is the supreme court case that governs the use of deadly force. If the officers actions were reasonable based on the totality of the circumstances, its a good shoot.

Totality meaning mumber of officers, number of suspects, size of officer/suspect, other information (robbery), light conditions, actions previous to the shooting, was there an escalation of force, etc etc.

So far what ive read, there isnt anything definitive that says the officers actions were unreasonable or reasonable.

In ANY case. There will never be a criminal case against the officer. Civil without a doubt. This isnt g zimmerman. This is a cop who is duty bound to confront criminals.

Oh I disagree.

There will be some DA who will bend to political pressure and charge this officer with murder.

Win or lose he'll be charged.

When that doesn't work the Feds will file a civil rights case against the officer and they'll win.

Execute? In the act of surrendering?

Were you there, or have you just decided this?

If the rule of law is applied, then the officer would have quite the lawsuit. But i will maintain that he will not be charged criminally. Nor will doj have a civil rights case. What the family does is on them and the officers liability insurance. People sue leos all the time even after they are guilty of crimes

It still has nothing to do with this incident.
You trying to relate the two is absurd.
Especially as this wasn't a "they" doing anything, but a "him". A "him" which the evidence supports.

Yup, the family will sue everyone from the Ferguson PD to the officer's high school gym teacher to the gun manufacturer. The family will get very rich off this, but in the end, I don't think the officer will be charged for either a civil rights crime by Holder or murder/manslaughter/whatever by the state.

Robbery? What robbery. Brown paid for those cigars.

The cops have said that the stopping of Brown has nothing to do with the robbery. (Ferguson chief: Officer didn't stop Brown as rob suspect - CNN.com)

If it did, then why did wasn't the video released sooner? Why haven't they been saying this since day one?

The way that information was presented was pretty confusing but what seems to have happened is that Wilson initially contacted Brown and Johnson because they were walking down the middle of the street which blocked traffic. Some words were said back and forth and the cop began to drive off. At roughly the same time the cop investigating the robbery broadcast a suspect description and Wilson, realizing that Brown fit that description, stopped and tried to detain him.

Alleged ? There's video of him assaulting the store clerk.

Alleged now, because the alleged perpetrator is now deceased and unable to answer any questions.

Alleged stealing a box of cigars, and allegedly having six shots pumped into a man walking on a city street and not on the sidewalk, that's probably a felony in itself in Fergson for blacks, not walking on the sidewalk.

Race relations have been strained in this town, and in St. Louis County since the 1970's, but nobody is paying attention to that.

and now, a grand jury investigation has been scheduled, who want's to bet it'll be comprised of mostly whites?

Police chief admits he doesn't know how to handle race relations, maybe he should step down and go flip burgers somewhere?

And that grand jury is being convened today. Don't you find this a bit...odd?

Don't you find peculiar Holder's involvement?

Blessedly, Michael Brown's friend is very much alive and will surely at some point testify, as will others. I'm concerned about the rush to convene the grand jury. Have, for example, all the toxicology reports come back?

There is no alleged about it. It has been confirmed that it was him by his cohort and his family.
So start learning the actual evidence.

There are at least three felonies that Brown was able to be charged with at the time of the altercation...

1. Strong arm robbery
2. Assault of a Uniformed Law Enforcement Officer
3. Attempt to gain control of an Officers weapon

And more....

4. Attempted murder of a LEO
5. Possession of stolen property (probably not a felony due to amount of said property)

etc...

So you should just stop with all the hate filled bias crap you are putting out here. It is making you look foolish.

sad thing is you can already see where this is headed. A jury is going to let him off when they see the evidence and then it starts all over again. The fake liberal outrage will be level red.

If a jury ever decides this, that in of it self will be a gross miscarriage of justice

At this point I agree...This is moving too fast (Grand Jury to be picked today) and smacks of the system railroading this officer bowing to outside pressure, instead of going about this methodically to get the proper answers to this.

I just now was watching MSNBC interview a local police commander who was addressing the question about what they are doing now, when the last question was "What will calm this and put an end to it?" and the Local commander who was black BTW, answered that he didn't think it would "until there was an indictment, and conviction" in this matter...So, even the police seem to be leaning toward railroading Darin Wilson in this....

Are you kidding me? Where? Where did Brown pay for those cigars in that video? The young man he was with (true to his account) put the cigars that Brown handed to him back on the counter, saying he didn't steal....
