I havent seen all the details of the shooting. Just an article or 2 so I dont know what all has been released.

From what I did read, is there a reasonable chance it was an accidental discharge? In close quarters like that?

It's in the very first part of the linked article:

Police responded about an hour after midnight to reports of four or five men with shotguns and wearing ski masks. They encountered multiple suspects running, one of whom pulled a gun on an officer, who fired at him, the county officer said. The man was taken to an area hospital.

The cops are in trouble?

From my perspective it looks like one cop may have acted irresponsibly but hundreds or more local residents took that single act as an open invitation to go feral. This second shooting doesn't seem like it should be an issue....unless the feral subhumans in the community make it one.

The issues in Ferguson were not created by the cops.

Sorry I should have been more clear. I was referring to the original shooting.

Oh, I see. I think that train has long left the station on the original incident. Pretty clear from what we know so far there was nothing "accidental" about the shooting.
