White students to no longer be majority at school[W:62]

Was in Oaxaca mexico and they have small bags of salt tied to the tequila bottles down there. The salt bags also included ground up grasshoppers.

Greetings, poweRob. :2wave:

I sincerely hope there is a good reason for that - like adding something to enhance the tequila flavor - and not a form of pest control when you don't have poison sprays available! *making mental note never to visit Oaxaca, either way* :lamo:

Oaxaca is the king of tequila and the home of mescal. Mescal is what us Americans mistake as the tequila with the worm in it. Tequila doesn't have the worm... Its mescal.

The grasshoppers are for flavor and a good source of protein I suppose. You can't really tell they are in there.

Okaaay...? I personally really prefer a good steak for protein, though. When I hear about people knowingly eating fried grubs, I guess ground-up grasshoppers in tequila aren't really all that bad!

I was fortunate to attend all White elementary and high schools. Great learning environment........no violence......100 percent graduation rate

The Japanese are NOT " striving economically ". They've been struggling for what ? Over 20 years now ?

Because their Politicians are more loyal to a economic premise based on ideology rather than economic principles based on reality.

They've tried and tried again to deficit spend their way out of a recession ( 10 Stimulus packages totaling 10 Trillion Yen in 10 years ) and they even " invested in infrastructure ".

It didn't work.

Now, they've entered into a ridiculous Monetary stimulus as a last ditch effort to save their economy.
a integral part Its Its
Its not working. How could it ?

Japan is number 21 on the prosperity index, out of 142 nations

Japan is number 9 in the World Economic Forum's Global Competitiveness Report which ranks 148 countries,
> GCI score: 5.40
> GDP per capita: $46,736 (13th highest)
> Debt as a pct. of GDP: 237.9% (the highest)
> Pct. of residents using Internet: 79.1% (24th highest)
> Biggest problem in doing business: Tax rates

Japan received top marks for business sophistication due to an abundance of local suppliers, highly sophisticated production processes and its prominent role in the international distribution of goods and services. Companies in Japan — the fourth largest economy in the world — spent considerable amounts on research and development, ranking only behind first place Switzerland. Tax rates were reported to be the most problematic factor for doing business, according to the WEF's survey. However, tax hikes may be on the horizon as part of the nation's "Abenomics" plan, pushed by Prime Minister Shinzo Abe, to combine aggressive economic stimulus with structural reform.

But isn't that the crux of this thread? The internal fear that someday the Hispanic population will overtake the White population? It's the exact same argument that was once used against freeing slaves, that Blacks would someday become the dominate race in America. Hasn't happened yet despite all the "welfare babies"; however, some would argue that the primary reason the Black population hasn't overtaken Whites has more to do with young Black men having come under clandestine attack since the Civil Rights era with false imprisonment or longer jail/prison sentences for lesser inclusive crimes (i.e., a few ounces of pot or crack cocaine = 5-10 yr sentence) compared to 1-3 yrs for a White male who commits the same crime. Frankly, I don't know what the answer is. What I do know is many of the fears White have held over the years concerning a national takeover by Blacks haven't come true. And I suspect the reason for it is very simple: We don't want to take over - never have. We just want inclusion, to be part of this grand experiment in forming a more perfect union here.

Assimilation...

Yes, I think it's necessary for all those who would call themselves "Americans" to conform to a certain set of standards, but they should do so of their own accord and never be forced to conform. Of course, if the so-called dominate race (GOP) continues to act as if they don't want a certain people being part of that grand experiment you can bet chaos will ensue...and just as what happened with Whites/the GOP of old they'll come to regret they choose fear over inclusion.

In the 70's Detroit was the mixer capital and a big-ass mess. I'm glad my parents moved 35 miles north of that hellhole. Earlier, they fled Chicag,o post riots, moving to the far Western Suburbs where I received a solid K-8'education. This allowed me to enter into the advanced high school math and science courses when we moved to Michigan. As a result, I breezed through engineering school, which lets me today live the good life here in SW Ohio.

Yeah. I am glad my parents made racist decisions.

So it was not you that took a story that had jack and **** to do with illegal immigration, and tried to spin it as being about illegal immigration. You created the impression that people are responding to since you had to dishonestly spin the story. You are hardly in a position to cry bout it.

Not "crying" about anything...I love it when liberals get called out on their lies, they tend to get really ****ty.

I did not post a story that had nothing to do with illegal immigration and act like it did. That was you. Might want to get your facts straight before making any accusations.

JUst takes like salt. Can't even tell. They are saying that insects are the next big thing in world diet because they are very high in protein and are very plentiful so it could feed impoverished multitudes quite well.

Not playing the victim card, just calling it like I see it. Sorry you can't accept that.

You played the victim card and the race card. Not me. So quit whining.

Am I understanding your account of your family's path of relocation correctly? You left (Detroit) Michigan to move to Chicago only to return to Michigan?

I'm glad you were able to take advantage of the educational opportunities placed before you and find success. It's unfortunate, however, that people shy away from acknowledging that such decisions as the one your parents made on your behalf are often rooted in racial bias.

Those decisions are simply based in reality........why would you send little Suzie off to a predominately black school where she will be sexually harassed, groped and maybe raped when you can move to another area where the schools are mainly White.......and there's actually learning going on in a nonviolent environment........that decision is not 'racist'.......it's just good parenting

funny how fear rules you.

Intelligence and good decisions drive my life........and that of my family.......fear is not part of the equation

Your other posts say otherwise.

Show me one............if you choose to not let your 16 year old daughter off in an inner city black ghetto at 2:00 am.........are you driven by fear or intelligent decision making.......but you already know the answer.......it just doesn't comport with your liberal world view..........but it certainly comports with your actions........LMAO at silly libs

Because you're painting all Black students at predominately Black schools to be violent and that's not true at all. It's like you folks watched the movie "Lean On Me" once and assumed ever school in urban America with a high Black student enrollment rate are "Fair Eastside".

Again, I can certainly understand any parent removing their child from a school that has a history of violence and/or poor academic standards. But when the main reason for such a move is rooted in racial biasness, I disagree with such a move.

'Racial bias' is based in reality and everyday real world experiences........there is not a predominately black school in the world where a White girl would not be sexually harassed.......with the administration looking the other way

Even funnier is the fear is limited to female kids being sexually attacked instead of being afraid of crime in general and dysfunctional schools.

It's very POE-ish

Quite. He trolls with overly provocative thread starts.

It will be nice when these statistics aren't being tracked just to "scare" some about "those" people.

LOL !!

Deliberately devaluing your currency when your'e dependant on Energy imports doesn't lead to prosperity.

It leads to continued economic malaise and thats exactly what Abenomics has produced.

Well that and more debt for a Country thats already borrowed itself into oblivion with one failed Keynesian " solution " after another.

Japans debt is 230 percent of their GDP and most of that debt is owned by the Japanese people and the Japanese banks.

Abenomics was a Keynesian " solution " to fix the damage from the last 10 Keynesian " solutions."

I wonder if youve read anything current regarding Abenomics

The best way to take down a nation is not by power, force, military, or any of that kind of stuff, but rather by swamping it with more people that they have to take care of....Back in WWII, the Chinese had a plan to take over Russia. It basically consisted of having their troops surrender in droves to the point where the Russian system would be so overburdened that it collapsed, and China could take over without firing a shot...This is what the liberals, and bleeding hearts are doing with this open borders policy, and they know it...

So a nation of immigrants must fear immigration?

OK. I guess. Not really.
