Perhaps because Obama knows that if he were alive and resided in 1950's Alabama, he would have to sit on the back of the bus. The fact that his mother was white would be irrelevant to white southerners.

The point then, is we have not come very far from the 1950's, especially since that today's GOP is basically what the Dixiecrats were.
 
I like how the OP begins with the premise that white is American and non-white isn't. Also that non-whites are a burden on the country and don't contribute to its well-being. And conservatives wonder why non-whites don't like them.

Huh, never even heard of most of those. Only ones that I have heard of is the Aryan Nation one. And I think, though I'm not sure, they moved somewhere down south after their last head honcho died. And it really is too bad that you don't have their contact info. It would have been fun to have 200 pizza's delivered there. Payable on delivery of course. ;)

Actually Nimby, he thought I was asking a question in reference to a different post. As he shows in his post. Understandably of course since I wasn't really specific. My question however, as I just explained above was meant for the post that he originally quoted the first time he quoted me. Hence the reason for my quotes in order to help clarify.

Do try and keep up ok? I know its hard sometimes but I'm sure you can do it. ;)

It was a bit of absurdity mixed into the ignorance of your commentary. US Hispanic population gains are being driven by.....wait for it......births, not immigration, and the trend is only going more in that direction

You see, I have lived in PHX and TUC nearly all my life, and here there are lots of RW vigilante/militia/border crazies whose self imposed plan of action was/is to stop "mischief". The funny thing is, the real mischief was all of the (mostly) conservative business owners that thrived on the cheap labor.....FOR DECADES. There was little to no "mischief" on the street because the one thing you did not do as an illegal was to draw attention to yourself. You came here to work....and work....and work like a dog. The vast majority of Hispanics (especially those from Mexico) have a work ethic that puts most WASP Americans to shame.

So if you are still locked into the idea that the issue with "Mexican" kids in elementary schools is being driven by Obama's immigration policy (which is hilarious in and of itself since his admin has been deporting at record numbers AND the recession caused many to go back), it isn't, this is a trend in the making and it is not going to slow much, if at all. But as I said, if you think some homegrown help could help, send em a pizza.

So you don't think that illegal immigrant children are not using our schools? Or just that its not as big a problem as is claimed?

Summerwind's commentary was about wanting them in school so that we wouldn't have to worry about them causing mischief on the streets. I never claimed that they were causing mischief. I just said that they should be deported as per the law and that way we wouldn't have to worry either way.

Actually the problem of illegal immigrant children in our school system has been around far longer than Obama.

Of course I was interested. I do like to know what neighbors I can laugh at after all. But none of them are where I live so it no longer interested me. :shrug: Closest one is at minimum 30 miles away. I'm not going to waste the gas and time just to go laugh at someone.
 
I find it interesting that the topic is not illegal immigration, the source article does not mention illegal immigration, but does mention what is causing the change in demographics(hint: it ain't illegal immigration), and yet some people, when they hear hispanic, all they think of is illegal immigration, despite the fact the vast majority of hispanics in this country are citizens.

Well, that was mistake number 1. Rising hispanic population in schools is being driven not by illegal immigration, but by the fact that hispanics(for whatever reason) are having more kids.

But there's the rub. I don't care about Hispanics becoming dominate. :shrug: I've mentioned before somewhere on this board that I personally believe that it is useless worrying about race for the simple fact that eventually everyone will be the same color anyways. This being mainly due to peoples ability to travel across the globe in a matter of hours instead of like it used to be in the old ages, years. So eventually we're all going to be brown colored anyways as that is the "in-between" color of the races.

So my only concern here is whether the illegal immigrant children are over burdening our school systems. Which is what the OP was suggesting in his post.
