The war that existed in 2008 al Qaeda waged with 275 attacks costing 10,000 civilian lives. Your desperation to cover for Bush's failure isn't disguised that's for sure.

There were huge losses at 9/11, almost 3000 Americans killed and over a trillion dollars in costs to the budget. Although there are those that claim that Iraq had nothing to do with 9/11 that is irrelevant today. What is relevant is that "your" President lost the peace that that treasure bought and did so with his arrogance and hatred for the war itself. Doesn't matter whether you liked it or not you protect the investment and he didn't do that. He didn't negotiate in good faith peace keeping troops there nor did he even attempt to keep an air base in the Kurdish area. All that blood and treasure wasted by an incompetent who read his own press clippings and believe that the world would bow down to him and his arrogance.

You are the one not listening or even paying attention. You are so fixated on the war that is over while ignoring what is going on right now there, all due to Obama

Yep, he wore that uniform and the National Guard Uniform well. Too bad we don't have that leadership today but only with a President with better communication skills that Bush had. He let the media and people like you define his record and ignore the actual non partisan results. You and your ilk are to blame for what we have today. I slept well with Bush in the WH, not so well today.

He's your president too, unless you're not an American. The war in Iraq has never ended, terrorist attacks, have never ended, civilian deaths have never ended. Denying that is dishonest.

Not for the purpose of denying them, of course the war that Bush started in 2003 rages on, I'm not the one suggesting that the war and peace was won. That would be you, denying that it rage right on thru Bush's presidency and continues to this day, and with higher casualties in 2008, then in 2009/2010!

You don't really understand wars, do you. The war was indeed won, Iraq was relatively stable even according to "your" President and Vice President. Were they lying?

"your" means you voted for the incompetent if you were old enough to vote, I didn't. He is indeed President, 4 million fewer people voted for him his second term as they got it, apparently you still don't get it.

Bush started the war with approval from Congress. Being proactive sometimes is necessary and he won the war, Obama lost the peace, that is reality.

Doesn't really matter what people think about Bush, Obama is in charge and his foreign policy support is very low as is his total JAR. You seem to want to divert to Bush, but you cannot change what happened, nor can you change what Obama said about the war and Iraq when we pulled out. Was he lying then or is he lying now? Yes, it does matter what people think about Bush, and its the growing numbers that view his war as disastrous that helped keep us from making a similar mistake in Syria. Obama's foreign policy has been equally disastrous. Quote me saying otherwise.

Oh I have a good understanding of wars, and given recent history a good understanding of preemptive wars and wars of choice. NOTHING was won in Iraq. Iraq was a total loss. A loss of US blood and treasure, and a HUGE loss of Iraqi blood and treasure. And the horrible thing is that they never stopped loosing. They are still loosing.

I'm one of many Americans that is sick and tired of paying for Bush's COLOSSAL **** up. Powell said "if you break it you own it" and I was raising hell at the time that I preferred not to break it because I don't want to own the Son of a bitch. I would prefer to focus on Americas problems right here at home. And I don't want any Canadians or Briton's or Europeans volunteering the US to police the world anymore. Let them do it. And those Americans that want to fight IS, take the damn fight to them yourselves.
