American Forces Said to Bomb ISIS Targets in Iraq[W:1007]

Re: American Forces Said to Bomb ISIS Targets in Iraq

More 'it's Obama's fault'. Every frickin' thing that happens in the world that you folks don't like is Obama's fault. Is there a way we can blame 9/11 on him? How about Pearl Harbor? The sinking of the Maine? It's your response to everything.
Geeeeeeeezus. Obama has done precisely jack **** for 6 years and to you everything is still Bush's fault. How ****ing pathetic. 6 years later...6 years into his presidency and you are still making excuses for him. What an embarrassment. Its no wonder no one takes him seriously.

Re: American Forces Said to Bomb ISIS Targets in Iraq

No you wouldn't. You've hated him since January 20, 2009. At least be honest about your prejudice.

" LEAVE OBAMA ALOOOONE " !!!

Re: American Forces Said to Bomb ISIS Targets in Iraq

I understand, the people are war weary. But where do we draw the line. This is genocide of the most wicked type. Why isn't the rest of the world getting involved? Iraq is not going to be capable of defeating ISIS. When they finish setting up their caliphate they will be coming after us next. When do you get involved when they are beheading your son or raping your daughter or do you decimate them before it gets to that point?

We are involved now.

Re: American Forces Said to Bomb ISIS Targets in Iraq

Interesting that he campaigned on doing something that apparently had already been accomplished and after they celebrated 'his' accomplishment the loyalists immediately try to disavow their 'accomplishment' and dump the blame on Bush for that 'accomplishment'.

I don't know what world you live in but the blame seems to be put on our president, a man who didn't vote for the war, campaigned to get us out (like Nixon and Vietnam), and actually kept his work (unlike Nixon.). Perhaps Obama was unrealistic on the aftermath but the Iraqi's wanted us out, Al-Maliki wanted us out, and refused to guarantee the troops we left would not be prosecuted. Hell if it was me I's say fine I'm outa here. I think the biggest blame is the POS they have as prime minister that wants the country to be primarily run by Shiites and refused to arm the Kurds or provide military aid to the Sunni's and other groups to the north.

If the shoe fits wear it. Invading Iraq is probably the biggest blunder of the 21st century. Hey it's not our fault he pursued it and was president.

You may not have received the memo...but the Bush presidency ended 6 years ago. Since then Obama has backed fundamentalist terrorist upheavals in Egypt, Libya, and Syria, and had his head up his ass on Iraq. You ALSO may have missed that NOW...after all of this...he is engaging. And THAT show you how ****ing inept he is. If its not our business, why engage? And if it IS our business...where has he been?

But I get it. Its not his fault. He has no responsibility. Nothing is ever his responsibility.

Re: American Forces Said to Bomb ISIS Targets in Iraq

The latest video is showing how Obama is explaining to everyone that it wasnt his fault that he underestimated ISIS...it was the Intel community.

Shocking...

Obama is a political coward. He shifts blame on anything he sees at the time as a negative and rapidly takes credit for anything positive. He will not take ownership of anything unless he thinks it will elevate him.

You are very emotional aren't you? I don't hate Obama even now. I would not waste such a powerful emotion on him. I do despise the damage he has done, and is continuing to do.

You really don't read history, do you? Do you really not know that Nixon did get us out of Vietnam? And in previous wars with the exception of Vietnam, we did not necessarily give the nations we liberated a choice on when we left. We did not give Germany or Japan that choice. We remained until it was clear that the peace was won....then only remained at the invitation of those nations. And we are still in North Korea. In any case, the fact that Obama gave up so easy on a status of forces agreement that would have left a contingent of quick reaction forces behind speaks of his incompetence.

All of these same progressives have very short memories of how the left treated Bush during his eight years and for at least the first five years of the Obama administration they have blamed Bush anything and everything. Now they are offended at the right giving Obama a hard time?

Incredibly insightful comment, revealing once again the dearth of original, constructive ideas from the American Right.

You've been giving Obama a hard time since day one of his presidency. There's only one reason for that, and everybody knows it.

Wow, amazing, don't you think that you know the personal feelings of every individual in this country? Guess results don't really matter in your world so you support this incompetent because he is "cool." How is your golf handicap?

You can run from the Obama record but you cannot hide from it. Guess we know that you are part of the very low percentage of people that support him and nothing is going to change your mind. It really doesn't take any guts to be a liberal, all you have to is think with your heart instead of your brain. Leadership is an unknown concept to a liberal and the lack of those leadership skills and understanding will always attract people to rhetoric rather than resume and substance.

Re: American Forces Said to Bomb ISIS Targets in Iraq

When you kill a chicken you cut it's head off. Killing ISIS that way won't work.

And you wouldn't find a good thing to say about him no matter what he did. Yeah, we need more leadership like that shown by Bush 2, who got us into a stupid and needless war in Iraq, and then after three months declared victory. How's that 'victory' looking now? And I didn't even mention his Dr. Strangelove Vice President, who assured us all we'd be greeted as liberators.

I don't claim to know the personal feelings of every individual in this country. Just yours and your fellow right wingers. And that doesn't take much skill. Just the ability to read this forum.

It's exponentially more insightful than your desperate mitigation's and blame.

Hey, someone wants to critique the Presidents policies ? Yea fine, it's even " Patriotic" just as long as that President represents the GOP.

Critiquing Obama and his disastrous policies ? No that's not Patriotic, that's hateful, cruel and racist.

Give me a break. It's not personal, in fact, I cant think of a greater waste of energy than to become emotionally tied to a total stranger.

The Democrats not only voted to give him the authority to go after Saddam, they also agreed on multiple occasions that Sadaam had WMD's, was interested in going Nuclear and that something needed to be done about it.

One way or the other, we are determined to deny Iraq the capacity to develop weapons of mass destruction and the missiles to deliver them. That is our bottom line."
--President Bill Clinton, Feb. 4, 1998

"If Saddam rejects peace and we have to use force, our purpose is clear. We want to seriously diminish the threat posed by Iraq's weapons of mass destruction program."
--President Bill Clinton, Feb. 17, 1998

"Iraq is a long way from [here], but what happens there matters a great deal here. For the risks that the leaders of a rogue state will use nuclear, chemical or biological weapons against us or our allies is the greatest security threat we face."
--Madeline Albright, Feb 18, 1998

"He will use those weapons of mass destruction again, as he has ten times since 1983."
--Sandy Berger, Clinton National Security Adviser, Feb, 18, 1998

"[W]e urge you, after consulting with Congress, and consistent with the U.S. Constitution and laws, to take necessary actions (including, if appropriate, air and missile strikes on suspect Iraqi sites) to respond effectively to the threat posed by Iraq's refusal to end its weapons of mass destruction programs."
Letter to President Clinton, signed by:
-- Democratic Senators Carl Levin, Tom Daschle, John Kerry, and others, Oct. 9, 1998

"Saddam Hussein has been engaged in the development of weapons of mass destruction technology which is a threat to countries in the region and he has made a mockery of the weapons inspection process."
-Rep. Nancy Pelosi (D, CA), Dec. 16, 1998

"Hussein has ... chosen to spend his money on building weapons of mass destruction and palaces for his cronies."
-- Madeline Albright, Clinton Secretary of State, Nov. 10, 1999

"There is no doubt that ... Saddam Hussein has reinvigorated his weapons programs. Reports indicate that biological, chemical and nuclear programs continue apace and may be back to pre-Gulf War status. In addition, Saddam continues to redefine delivery systems and is doubtless using the cover of a licit missile program to develop longer-range missiles that will threaten the United States and our allies."
Letter to President Bush, Signed by:
-- Sen. Bob Graham (D, FL), and others, Dec 5, 2001

"We begin with the common belief that Saddam Hussein is a tyrant and a threat to the peace and stability of the region. He has ignored the mandate of the United Nations and is building weapons of mass destruction and th! e means of delivering them."
-- Sen. Carl Levin (D, MI), Sept. 19, 2002

"We know that he has stored secret supplies of biological and chemical weapons throughout his country."
-- Al Gore, Sept. 23, 2002

"Iraq's search for weapons of mass destruction has proven impossible to deter and we should assume that it will continue for as long as Saddam is in power."
-- Al Gore, Sept. 23, 2002

"We have known for many years that Saddam Hussein is seeking and developing weapons of mass destruction."
-- Sen. Ted Kennedy (D, MA), Sept. 27, 2002

"The last UN weapons inspectors left Iraq in October of 1998. We are confident that Saddam Hussein retains some stockpiles of chemical and biological weapons, and that he has since embarked on a crash course to build up his chemical and biological warfare capabilities. Intelligence reports indicate that he is seeking nuclear weapons..."
-- Sen. Robert Byrd (D, WV), Oct. 3, 2002

"I will be voting to give the President of the United States the authority to use force -- if necessary -- to disarm Saddam Hussein because I believe that a deadly arsenal of weapons of mass destruction in his hands is a real and grave threat to our security."
-- Sen. John F. Kerry (D, MA), Oct. 9, 2002

"There is unmistakable evidence that Saddam Hussein is working aggressively to develop nuclear weapons and will likely have nuclear weapons within the next five years ... We also should remember we have always underestimated the progress Saddam has made in development of weapons of mass destruction."
-- Sen. Jay Rockefeller (D, WV), Oct 10, 2002

"He has systematically violated, over the course of the past 11 years, every significant UN resolution that has demanded that he disarm and destroy his chemical and biological weapons, and any nuclear capacity. This he has refused to do"
-- Rep. Henry Waxman (D, CA), Oct. 10, 2002

"In the four years since the inspectors left, intelligence reports show that Saddam Hussein has worked to rebuild his chemical and biological weapons stock, his missile delivery capability, and his nuclear program. He has also given aid, comfort, and sanctuary to terrorists, including al Qaeda members ... It is clear, however, that if left unchecked, Saddam Hussein will continue to increase his capacity to wage biological and chemical warfare, and will keep trying to develop nuclear weapons."
-- Sen. Hillary Clinton (D, NY), Oct 10, 2002

"We are in possession of what I think to be compelling evidence that Saddam Hussein has, and has had for a number of years, a developing capacity for the production and storage of weapons of mass destruction."
-- Sen. Bob Graham (D, FL), Dec. 8, 2002

"Without question, we need to disarm Saddam Hussein. He is a brutal, murderous dictator, leading an oppressive regime ... He presents a particularly grievous threat because he is so consistently prone to miscalculation ... And now he is miscalculating America's response to his continued deceit and his consistent grasp for weapons of mass destruction ... So the threat of Saddam Hussein with weapons of mass destruction is real..."
-- Sen. John F. Kerry (D, MA), Jan. 23. 2003

And when Bush was president, there wasn't a huge wave of unopposed Islamic militants tearing through Iraq, commandeering weapons and killing Christains.

That is your opinion and the liberal Mantra. You simply cannot get over the reality that liberals have lied to you and make you look foolish. You are in the position to stop it by stop posting.

it really is sad that we still have people in this country who lack the ability to do basic research and pass off their personal opinions which are formulated by what they want to hear as fact.

Your support of Obama is misguided and based upon rhetoric certainly not his resume or his results.

It's called politics, son. In all likelihood, you treated Bush in pretty much the same way.

And BEFORE Bush invaded there were no "Islamic militants tearing through Iraq" either. The invasion and its 200,000 American targets is what brought the largest increase of militants in Iraq EVER. A virtual WAVE of recruits that became ISIS happened because of the ill-conceived invasion. When Bush said "bring it on", the militants took him at his word and what we have now is the result.
Giving "authority" to the President is not the same as believing we should invade. That decision was Bush's ALONE and he chose POORLY.

That is your opinion and after 9/11 you would have ignored the threat that liberals knew was there just like you ignored the threat of Islamic radicals in Syria, Egypt, Gaza. Only in the liberal world do thousands of Americans have to die before you react and then it is too late.

This is what "your" President is allowing to happen and still you don't get it. When will you get it and how many Americans have to die?

And this is what YOUR President MADE happen as sure as if he started ISIS himself. 4000 American died and 20,000 maimed to make ISIS a reality, that's the sad truth. There was no threat to America from Iraq until Bush upset the balance of power in the region and installed a Shiite terrorist as President of Iraq.

Got it, your opinion noted. How many Americans have to die before you realize Obama incompetence in managing the peace in Iraq and poor management of the Syrian Crisis has made this country less secure? Wonder how strong ISIS would be had an arrogant Obama not abandoned the country and not negotiated a better agreement with Iraq? You buy the liberal rhetoric which continues to be the case. There is no reason we shouldn't have kept an air base in the Kurd Controlled area and there is no way American weapons would be in the hands of ISIS with strong U.S. leadership which of course we do not have. Your support for Obama is misguided at best.
