(CNN) -- The federal government has concluded there's a new leaker exposing national security documents in the aftermath of surveillance disclosures by former NSA contractor Edward Snowden,U.S. officials tell CNN.
Proof of the newest leak comes from national security documents that formed the basis of a news story published Tuesday by the Intercept, the news site launched by Glenn Greenwald, who also published Snowden's leaks.

The Intercept article focuses on the growth in U.S. government databases of known or suspected terrorist names during the Obama administration.

More leaks, this time coming from a new leaker. Leaks include Terrorist watch list explosion.

This is a good trend.

I hope it all gets exposed. I think as untrustworthy the government is the only thing they should be allowed to keep secret are troop movements during a time of war.

How dare he?

Glenn Greenwald is smart, and unlike the Julian Assange, he has the sense to mostly stay in a country that won't lock him an embassy, and doesn't seem to have indiscriminate sex with strangers that could get him detained.

I wonder if they'll find the leaker before he has a chance to flee.

Let me first say that I support Snowden. The government spying on its own citizens is disgusting and despicable. However, I can tell you with certainty that your statement is incorrect. Much of the information that is classified is strategic in nature and revealing it could severely compromise our ability to effectively defend our nation.

Glenn Greenwald, and the Guardian have had teams of attorneys pouring over the documents to insure that that doesn't happen, redacting anything that would compromise US national security.

I'm not talking about Snowden's docs. I am talking about intel in general. There is lots of stuff to which people have access which, in the wrong hands, could spell disaster for our country.

I could care less what the government claims is necessary to keep secret in order to defend our nation. The fact is the government abuses that ability to keep things secret and as such they should be denied that privilege except for troop movement during a time of war(actual war not this war on terror bull ****)

I never said they don't abuse their many powers. They most certainly do. But my point has nothing to do with that.

I see, but the op speaks directly to what's being leaked, and that there are more than a quarter of a million citizens on a watch list, who have no reason to be on it. That may be damaging to WH credibility, but again its not damaging to NS?

And I don't disagree there. The no-fly list is a travesty of justice and an affront to our constitutional rights, especially the right to face one's accuser. My initial remark wasn't a response to the OP, but to jamesrage's comment that only troop movements during time of war should be secret. That is the only thing on which I have commented, but have been forced to respond to others in the process.
