I love it when right wing true believers states nonsense like this. In the real world of real Americans with real incomes and real budgets such insanity would be mocked and ridiculed.

I can see it right now in homes all across America:

Husband: Hey baby, you know how you are always complaining that I am never here to do those chores you want me to do around the house? All that is changing and I will have much more time at home.
Wife: How's that?
Husband: I quit my second job working evenings at the mall.
Wife: That second job brought in eighteen grand last year and was the difference between us being able to live here and pay the bills and us having to move to a much smaller place in a crappy neighborhood.
Husband: No baby - it'll be okay. We just cut back on other stuff that we are overspending on.
Wife: Overspending!?!?!?!?!? Like on what?
Husband: Like food and utilities and clothing and health care and the kids education expenses and gifts for the family and helping out your mother and care payments and repairs and all that other stuff.
Wife: Let me get this straight: you quit your second job and in order to stay living here we have to cut back on everything else and live like hermits?
Husband: Its not going to hurt us ,,, its ......
Wife: You freaking idiot!!!!!!!!! Get your overweight behind down to the mall right now and get that job back and don't you dare come back here telling us its going to be okay its just a matter of our "overspending".
Husband: But baby, you don't understand... the loss of that income is not the problem - its our overspending that is.
Wife: Overspending my Great Aunt Mathilda. Why are you still standing here? Get down to the mall now and you better come back with that second job.



That is how it works in the real America with real people. Overspending my Great Aunt Mathilda!!!!!!

I believe that Obama should not be impeached, not because he is in competent or because he has broken the law but because Biden would assume the presidency which is the scariest thing I could think of.

Thanks to the democrats and the CRA. They f-ed up the entire economy with their forcing loans to unqualified people and their corruption and Freddie Mac. Enough said there.

The deficit for 2009 was projected to be over a trillion before Obama became president. That certainly can't be blamed on him. Yet, the deficit is falling rapidly and the debt, which cons are obsessed about, is quite manageable.

Can you give us the high water mark for impeaching the last Bush and Clinton so we can judge the "ever increasing radicalization of the right".

Ol' buddy, please. Study to show thyself approved. Obama getting "impeached" doesn't mean Biden inherits the throne. SMH :roll: Put brain in gear before putting mouth in motion. This is getting embarrassing. Sometimes, it's really hard for me to wrap my head around you ever being a CPO in the USN. It just don't add up. But I digress.

Impeachment does not necessarily result in removal from office; it is only a legal statement of charges, parallel to an indictment in criminal law. An official who is impeached faces a second legislative vote (whether by the same body or another), which determines conviction, or failure to convict, on the charges embodied by the impeachment. Most constitutions require a supermajority to convict. <snip>

No way 2/3's are gonna vote to convict Obama. (Unless, of course, he actually commits high crimes or treason.)

Common sense should tell anyone, that has any, that this is simply just another political stunt. I truly do hope they do go forth with it. It will be the nail in the extremo rightwing coffin. That nail is long overdue.

Perhaps, however I don't think it will help them on election midterm election night. All races are regional and the amount of money spent per race has not always been the deciding factor. Look at what happened to Eric Cantor. He out spent his opponent something like 30 to 1.

And by the time any impeachment hearings finished, Obama's second term would be just about over anyway. All they would accomplish is giving Obama the same black mark in history that was given to Andrew Johnson and Bill Clinton. They served out their terms as well.

I hope to hell that the republcons do attempt an impeachment of President Obama ... and I hope that they start soon.
He will easily prevail at any impeachment trial and the mid-terms will be an easy win for the Democratic party as they take back the house.

Then what crime must an office holder commit to be removed from office? Actual crimes are the top end of the scale of reasons, not the bottom.
