U.S. Considering Refugee Status for Hondurans

Hey, I'll settle for your admission that the US has sponsored violence in the past. Funny you think it's stopped, and funny that you'll throw a right winger under the bus in your desperation to dismiss US crimes.

Well unlike you I don't fawn over those who occasionally agree with me on the political front. Odom passed his shelf life when he went think tank on us. And of course we leveraged the EXISTING violence to get our way in the region, that's what nations in that period of history did. I don't endorse it in the now, nor did I then. As you know I'm really no fan of our CIA and consider it largely a rogue agency.

However, there was violence before US involvement in the reason and there is still violence there. Had the US been totally non-involved decades ago, there would still be violence in the region.

"Give me your tired, your poor,
Your huddled masses yearning to breathe free,
Unless they're Central American children,
In which case **** 'Em and send them back."

-- The Newer Colossus (apologies to Emma Lazarus)

Is that where you draw the line?

Maybe you can get Ebola - oh yeah the diseased were turned away..

Dude, not like you care - you just want to feel morally superior to those who surround you.

Maybe you should adopt er sponsor an illegal alien family........ Yeahhhhhh - not in your house.

If Obummer does this he should be impeached........do we really want America to turn into Honduras or El Salvador?

Give me your debunked arguments and snide comments about conditions well passed.
Your repetition beyond imagining of the same old, same old.
We refuse to open our hearts to your closed mind.

Well now, in order for this to happen, doesn't CONGRESS have to vote to grant them refugee status? If they do so, the better course would be to vote every critter that voted yes right on out of office.

Ebola? Seriously? Do you know where Ebola comes from? Hint: It's not Central America.

What on earth does this even mean.

This CIA "Red Cell" report from February 2, 2010, looks at what will happen if it is internationally understood that the United States is an exporter of terrorism; 'Contrary to common belief, the American export of terrorism or terrorists is not a recent phenomenon, nor has it been associated only with Islamic radicals or people of Middle Eastern, African or South Asian ethnic origin. This dynamic belies the American belief that our free, open and integrated multicultural society lessens the allure of radicalism and terrorism for US citizens.' The report looks at a number cases of US exported terrorism, including attacks by US based or financed Jewish, Muslim and Irish-nationalism terrorists. It concludes that foreign perceptions of the US as an "Exporter of Terrorism" together with US double standards in international law, may lead to noncooperation in renditions (including the arrest of CIA officers) and the decision to not share terrorism related intelligence with the United States.

CIA Red Cell Memorandum on United States "exporting terrorism", 2 Feb 2010 - WikiLeaks

Three to four decades after our involvement in using region's existing violence. Do you suppose the discourse and problems between nations might have changed somewhat in that time period? Really, it didn't work for you the first time you tried this tack, why persist?

What on earth does this even mean.

It means your use of a poem that characterized how we were as a nation and as a world over a hundred years ago is so blatantly inane, as a comment here, is unacceptable.

I know where it originates but considering we have "airplanes" going in and out of every airport that disease (much like many other) can be transported quite easily...

Besides, who knows that tribal people have and are immune to..

Why you think Anthropologists are so careful in dealing with "uncontacted peoples/tribes?"

A bus ride from their home to the consulate and an American tax payer paid trip to America with citizenship and all the fixins..

I'm beyond words...

I vote, that all who come to America to "desert" their countries in hopes of a better life, sign a contract to serve a minimum of 4 years in the US military. Of course they would have to qualify like anyone else. If taxpayers are going to pay to set these people up, they might as well earn their citizenship. If they can't serve in the military, then maybe there could be other arrangements such as some type of civil work force to repair the aging infrastructure. Of course it would not be slavery, it would be paid work. Not only would it allow them to earn their citizenship, it would also give them some types of skills to use once their obligations were met.

Well, generally that is what LEGAL citizens do - they swear an oath..... Illegals just get the royal treatment under Obama... That is why there are white flags flying on the Brooklyn Bridge...

Take it up with the mods if it's "unacceptable."

IOW, those kids would be entering the country legally, and the right, contrary to their claims that it's illegal immigration they object to, is objecting to this legal immigration.

Thanks for pointing out this right wing lie

Thanks for showing the illogic of the left.

Good job!

Yeah no ****....

Tell me something I don't know......... However that still doesn't mean terrorism and radical Islam doesn't exist...

The government only gets away with half of what they do because the majority of people are epic idiots...

Most people will believe whatever they're told just as long as it is told by an individual in a standing of authority - if it's not it's thrown in the "conspiracy" bin...

Who's denying that? It just means that the US is in the business of it too!

Oh that's a nice defence of sponsorship of violence, it would exist anyway. So you think the CIA is rogue, but you deny that they are now, and all the dirty business ended long ago, lol.

The **** you talking about. This was just released in 2010! And you make no sense, the CIA is rogue, yet its not. Bat **** crazy.

Worry that bone elsewhere, you got your answer, multiple times.
Nope, you responded with ad hominem and a genetic fallacy. I'm done wasting my time with someone who can only employ fallacies :peace

Yep.

There's a demographic trap alright, but age isn't the demographic the trap is being set for.

I'll thank the parents to kindly keep hold of their own kids in their own country.

I am not part of the we which you speak. And don't think they think they are either, they don't.

With our people aborting so many, kids are in short demand. There are lots of couples that would like to have one or two. It would be easy to place a couple of hundred thousand. And it would make life easier on us in a couple of years.

Genetic fallacy yet again. Prove the facts in the article are false.

i don't need to prove a bias source as fact that is up to the source not to be bias.
if you don't actually respond to the on-topic discussion of this thread i will take it that you have no argument to present and will have just lost
this discussion.

What facts did I reject? And by all means explain to me how the facts in the article I gave are incorrect. So far nobody has done that.

Really? You post a link to a well known highly biased website, and when it was rejected, questioned the rejection by claiming the content was good. Previously I presented quotes reported on websites you rejected because you claimed they were highly biased.

That's a total flip flop of standards. That makes your position and application of fact completely hypocritical.

Or, you know, we could just stop killing babies in the womb...

Make further incentives to adopt rather than abort.

In the transit facility? ;)

Or in a shallow grave?

Is that a bus stop taking them from San Pedro Sula to Trujillo?

I don't recall hearing anything about them being predisposed to laziness, that's racist... they'll go the whole 6 ft...;)
