U.S. Considering Refugee Status for Hondurans

November 29, 1947 the United Nations adopted Resolution 181 (also known as the Partition Resolution) that would divide Great Britain’s former Palestinian mandate into Jewish and Arab states in May 1948 when the British mandate was scheduled to end. Under the resolution, the area of religious significance surrounding Jerusalem would remain a corpus separatum under international control administered by the United Nations.

So? What does this have to do with your question or my answer?

Your argument was that it is the violence in their home countries that drives them here. I've shown that to be nonsense, as there are much, much closer alternatives. Further you argue that America is responsible for the current violence in their home states. Again, nonsense. America may have in the past, as in DECADES ago, leveraged the native violence to achieve US goals. We did not create that environment, we used it to our advantage, again DECADES ago.

And no, to the UN and you. Don't have to scoot anywhere, just have to vote every politician that votes yes on this turd out of office forever.

He doesn't need to be voted out, he's naturally leaving. And I'm sorry for your ignorance of over a century of US policy that has held this region down.

So? What does this have to do with your question or my answer?

It seemed you were denying UN involvement in the creation of the state of Israel, if not, then nothing, move along.

I'll give you this, you are consistent where it comes to sticking to your little propaganda book. Asked and answered.
That doesn't answer the question. What arguments in the article are sheer fantasy?

bias is bais period end of story.

PS you still have yet to address anything on topic? in fact you haven't even addressed my post to you about this thread at all. your off topic discussion is just that offtopic. have a nice day.

you can continue with your own fallacy.
Genetic fallacy yet again. Prove the facts in the article are false.

A bus ride from their home to the consulate and an American tax payer paid trip to America with citizenship and all the fixins..

I'm beyond words...

IOW, those kids would be entering the country legally, and the right, contrary to their claims that it's illegal immigration they object to, is objecting to this legal immigration.

Thanks for pointing out this right wing lie

The president does not get to make law or ratify treaties, I'm talking about the congress critters which you should clearly know. I too am sorry that you bought the bull**** about American culpability.

Thanks, but I am well aware of the history and the players.

Apples and oranges. I object to illegal aliens as well as conferring refugee status on these folks. Two different issues.

Except that three posters provided you with evidence of it. Of course you didn't look at it, I suppose that's understandable. But sooner or later, you have to pony up. No ones ever set on the point forever.

Let's hope that last is so and you eventually realize that the US is not culpable in the violence of the region. A HuffPost editorial propaganda piece is NOT proof of anything, except to prove that some folks will buy any nonsense if it feeds into their world view.

Well sure, having just read it in my post it would be awkward to deny that now.

Or I suppose an honest person might have read the hundreds of posts I made on the subject previously. But you chose what you want to believe.

Poor CB, it embarrassing that you're in a state of denial like this.

The director of the National Security Agency under Ronald Reagan – Lt. General William Odom - noted:

Because the United States itself has a long record of supporting terrorists and using terrorist tactics, the slogans of today’s war on terrorism merely makes the United States look hypocritical to the rest of the world.

Odom also said:

By any measure the US has long used terrorism. In ‘78-79 the Senate was trying to pass a law against international terrorism – in every version they produced, the lawyers said the US would be in violation.

The CIA admits that it hired Iranians in the 1950′s to pose as Communists and stage bombings in Iran in order to turn the country against its democratically-elected prime minister.

Ah hell, why not invoke that traitor Ramsey Clark, Attorney General for Johnson, if you want to show anti-American sentiment and fuzzy thinking?

But really now, how does any of what Odom, an on the shelf too long moron, has to say prove to you that the US is culpable in the current violence in Central America?

I know, you really, really want it to be so. But the plain facts are that violence we leveraged DECADES ago to satisfy our interests in the region was pre-existing.

Yeah Reagan was all for that when he boomed the economy and there were more jobs than could be filled..

What does Obama do or wants to do? open the doors in a stagnant economy...

What type of epic moron does that? oh yeah Obama - a person who understands absolutely nothing other than being "black." What is he a novelty?

This is what happens when progressives vote with their "social justice" nonsense..

In straight up reality I wouldn't let Obama use a power tool...

Hey, I'll settle for your admission that the US has sponsored violence in the past. Funny you think it's stopped, and funny that you'll throw a right winger under the bus in your desperation to dismiss US crimes.

What in the world does that have to do with my post that you quoted.

"Give me your tired, your poor,
Your huddled masses yearning to breathe free,
Unless they're Central American children,
In which case **** 'Em and send them back."

I'd certainly admit the US has sponsored violence in the past - but you're not hitting the right tone.

Our government is horrible, however against their own civilians moreso than foreign nations.

Would you like to start with Hoover and the FBI?

This CIA "Red Cell" report from February 2, 2010, looks at what will happen if it is internationally understood that the United States is an exporter of terrorism; 'Contrary to common belief, the American export of terrorism or terrorists is not a recent phenomenon, nor has it been associated only with Islamic radicals or people of Middle Eastern, African or South Asian ethnic origin. This dynamic belies the American belief that our free, open and integrated multicultural society lessens the allure of radicalism and terrorism for US citizens.' The report looks at a number cases of US exported terrorism, including attacks by US based or financed Jewish, Muslim and Irish-nationalism terrorists. It concludes that foreign perceptions of the US as an "Exporter of Terrorism" together with US double standards in international law, may lead to noncooperation in renditions (including the arrest of CIA officers) and the decision to not share terrorism related intelligence with the United States.

Yeah no ****....

Tell me something I don't know......... However that still doesn't mean terrorism and radical Islam doesn't exist...

The government only gets away with half of what they do because the majority of people are epic idiots...

Most people will believe whatever they're told just as long as it is told by an individual in a standing of authority - if it's not it's thrown in the "conspiracy" bin...
