Clinton. He & the missus are New Yorkers now.

Nixon bought a spread in NJ after leaving office. I never understood why.

They bought a big spread in Saddle River. I saw it. They had treehouses for the Secret Service guys. My husband grew up in the same neighborhood.

Consider this. If a street gang can start a business front as a rap music promoter, pay a rap artist 20k to perform, print up 200k worth of tickets, buy the tickets themselves with drug money and then just give the tickets away.... Now the money is legit. Earned off ticket sales. Bada bing...

What's to stop a politician from publishing 100k copies of their book and have the corporate crooks, who want to buy their influence, just purchase his books instead of outright bribing him?

Actually this very thing was brought up with Hillary's book deal. Supposedly she got an advance that was far more than what the sales of the book were expected to bring. In that case, the publisher would be in it for something other than profit.
