Ku Klux Klan Passing out Candy

There's no such thing as the black panther party, it dissolved some years ago, might you be referring to the new black panther party?

I don't think I've ever heard or seen any of those listed by you as handing out candy, although the NAACP and the old panther party have helped or enabled poor people to obtain sustenance and other forms of assistance.

My bad. Allow me to correct myself...

*clearing my throat*

The NEW Black Panther Party.

Correct.

The Panthers of old went into Black schools and participated in reading and other education programs, held charity drives and did all sorts of things to help poor Blacks get a leg up. I don't think the BPP went out of their way to attack Whites or any Whites-only group, but they sure came under attack plenty of times. If people were honest about this ethnic organization they'd realize that they only became militant when provoked. Otherwise, they focused their energies strictly within African-American communities.

The sad thing now is the NBBP will be wrongfully lumped with the old BBP. Even today you hear Rush, Hannity and Levin speak of them in terms of "mob violence" completely ignoring the fact that for well over a century White mods whether the KKK or a community-led group have done far more damage to Black families and communities over the years than any of the three aforementioned Black groups combined - newly reformed or otherwise.

For those interested, a brief on the Black Panther Party and their role in American History during the Civil Rights era can be found here.

The people you've mentioned might be stereotyping, I don't know because I do not listen or watch anything they have to say. I first leared about the word stereotyping in military service, but before that, I lived and worked in black neighborhoods, partied with blacks, played with blacks, yet I know so little about the AA culture and customs, but do know the difference between those two groups.

The KKK passed out candy in South Carolina. Residents found bags of sweets outside their homes with a Cute little paper that read "Save our land. Join the Klan"

Ku Klux Klan hands out candy in South Carolina during recruitment drive | Fox News

The KKK is harmless, but it is an important political tool; by getting the Klan fired up about a political candidate, you can make all Latinos, Blacks, Asians, etc. vote against that candidate.

Worked of O in 2012, so it can work for everyone.

Who told them that they couldn't be proud of who they are?

Fill us in.

If I told someone I am a big Steve Nash fan because he is White I would be vilified by everyone.......particularly the white self-loathers........if a Chinese person, who had never watched basketball, told you that they had become a huge Houston Rockets fan because Jeremy Lin was playing for them you would think that is a normal human reaction.......

Or, if anyone can't deal with it, the entrance to the exit is wide open and there's no anchor on anyone's backside.

IOW: if you're not happy in the USA don't let the door hit you where the good Lord split you.

Looks as if you already took advantage of that wide-open door Shrub...B/T/W, how's the weather over there where you are?

Remember this grouchy old man?

Why is it that Liberals always have to deal with the Democrats' past, but Conservatives get to disown anyone they don't like now?

The Democratic Party at the start of the KKK (the 1860s) was like the Republican Party today, and vice versa. Think of it this way: Abe Lincoln was Republican; he was anti-slavery, pro-black rights.

The correct name of the Democratic Party is Democratic Party, and the correct name of the Republican Party is Republican Party. Intentionally distorting a party's name is juvenile and makes everything else you say uncredible, since it shows you are not tied to facts, but are out just to dig at a party or person, like a juvenile.

With all the other racial hate groups (like La Raza & the Panthers) currently flourishing under the Obama regime , its not hard to see why the Klan is making a comeback. As long as they vote Democrat I doubt Obama has a problem with it, after all the Democrats have a proud tradition here.

Parts of the Democrat party is still today biggoted against blacks, look at what happened to Condelezza Rice, Micheal Steele, Clarence Thomas... and I could name a few more. Your party now lies to blacks to get there votes out by playing the fake race card and creating fake race stories. Unfortunatly the Republican establishment in Mississippi took a page from you guys & did the same thing to the Tea Party in the primary there. But thats whats been going on and its obvious to see.

An undeniable statement of fact that is routinely ignored when this conversation comes up. I've posted what you just posted at LEAST 10 times on this forum ... should end the conversation but it never does stop them from repeating the same lies again.

Repeating the same lies, you mean like if you disagree with Barry its because you are racist? Or how about if you want to stop illegal aliens from flooding the country you are a xenophob? Or you hate women because Sandra Fluck should pay for her own birth control pills seeing she can afford a European vacation? Kinda like those lies from the left every single day! Boo hoo lefties you guys wrote the book on character assassination so suck it up!..:beat

You're right. Teddy Roosevelt was a proud, anti-trust Progressive

Which I didn't say. "Democrats" is the correct way to talk about more than one Democrat. "Democratics" makes no sense.

Obviously, the true racists are the ones that disagree with Condi Rice and Clarence Thomas. See #186.

Not to mention that disagreeing with Michele Bachmann makes you a sexist. Obviously.

I've not made those arguments, so your attempt to use them as an "I Win" button for the argument is summarily dismissed.

Nevertheless, one can certainly see the difference in arguments based on perception, which the three you listed would definitely be considered (regardless of their accuracy), and the clear denial of historical fact, can't we?

Oh, and "lefties wrote the book on character assassination"? Puh-leeze. Both "sides" are so steeped in it that attempting to pin that on "the left" is laughable.

Haven't you been paying attention? Everything bad is because of the left. It's gonna rain soon. Thanks, Obama.

As a matter of fact, Lou Holtz was FIRED as the Head Football Coach at the University of Arkansas. His discretion you may ask? He was much too involved in campaigning for North Carolina Senator Jesse Helms. Broyles told him to knock it off and he didn't. Frank Broyles fired his ass. Then he ended up at Minnesota, then Notre Dame. Not Jesse Helms...but Lou Holtz.;)

Proud that your ancestors started a war to keep human beings in chains. Interesting.

Naaa...my ancestors started the war of northern aggression about like Winston Churchill started WWII.

They knew what secession would lead to, and they seceded over slavery.

Mr. Edgarton doesn't seem to mind it.
