How misguided some are, historically the KKK was ANTI-party of Lincoln... didn't matter the label of the opposition. :doh

Once civil rights were pushed as a DEMOCRAT proposal the racist whites of the Southern Persuasion flirted briefly with a third party before being welcomed into the GOP. Now the KKK seems quite comfortable outside the Democratic tent.

For decades AFTER the death of President Lincoln the GOP was referred to as the Party of Lincoln in the South. With the Carpet Baggers, 'rigged' elections of blacks, and destruction of the plantation system white males refused to have anything to do with the GOP. THAT was the drive behind Southern politics up until 1964, not a love of northern democrats but a deep hatred and resentment of the GOP.... :peace

Per the article it was 20,000 per day. Even if that is an exaggeration even half of that is alarming. Yes, the Klan doesn't have the best reputation but with the current environment being kinda hostile towards Hispanics in some parts of the country it is an opportunity for them to feed on that. Hopefully most people do ignore them.
 
What is the purpose of he Kkk these days? Are they foolish enough to think they are going to rid America of minorities?
 
We had a guy in AZ that was part of the racist National Alliance, a neo nazi hate group like the klan. He ran for office several times, would make death threats on people at town hall meetings (including a friend), and would take the "patriot" group he formed on armed trips to the border, looking for illegals to kill (he bragged about killing).

Well, about a year and half ago, this lowlife who was sponging off an ex girlfriend got all enraged, killed her, another guy, and her kids, including a baby, than shot himself.

His patriot group still exists, they were at the latest border protest/staged outrage event.

Yeah, he was also a great friend of Russell Pearce who was speaker of the house in AZ and the man behind SB1070 (which had most of it's unconstitutional powers stripped) and was recalled by the very conservative members of his district. The guys name was J. T. Ready, he often appeared with Pearce and was sponsored as a bishop in his church. Real winner.
