Double down and keep them in longer. I have no problem with that. Build more prisons and hire more officers.
Those people are doing nothing but dragging our nation down. I say screw them.
 
Yes, we know the drugs are addictive,and powerful,and takes over all their faculties. Most ppl addicted to meth, never get clean, especially if they've been using for a decade or more. I have a reasonable compassion for these mothers as I've met some, but I have more compassion for these babies that will have life long disabilities b/c of it. There needs to be accountability. I have been to the ER many times with exposed babies due to the residual effects of their moms drug use. Again, something has to give! I'm glad that some states are realizing these mothers need to be held responsible and there needs to be consequences!

Please add some content to respond to my posts or dont bother. You are only trying to divert attention from the fact that you cannot defend your lack of reading comprehension and now cannot support your continued repetition that I said a 'glass' of wine is comparable to the 'use' of meth.

You look exceedingly weak and foolish. If you can support ANY of the claims in your post where I said or even implied those things, let's see them. Put up or shut up.

Otherwise, we can all see that you are lying. I never wrote a single word about 'her body' or 'her rights' anywhere.

Put up or shut up: here's the original questions you avoided: are a glass of wine and a hit of meth comparable? And what are the effects of a hit of meth on the unborn? You bobbed and weaved, gave one link that did NOT answer either question, and have since just gone on the defensive to try and not look like a loser.

If you had been smart you would have just admitted you dont know the answers but you just had to come across as some big expert on meth use. Now you just keep embarrassing yourself further.

Contribute to the thread...if you can....but stop the unsubstantiated lies & diversion.

No diversion, I have been asked how "I" would handle it. I have given that answer. All you have done is criticize me instead of giving a reasonable option.

Did you not read her bio that I posted? She has a long history of drug run ins with the law. She did meth a week before giving birth. What else would you like to know about this upstanding citizen?

"I" never asked you how you would handle it. I asked the questions from the previous post. They were supposed to be a starting point for an element to consider. You chose to go all 'dont tell me about meth use!'

You blustered, gave me a link that didnt support your claim, and then went on the attack so that you wouldnt look stupid.

You failed.



It's obvious you have no answers and that course of discussion would be useless.

She had a meth habit that extended well into the pregnancy. When the baby was born, she has blisters all over her body and several other reactions to the meth use.

It wasn't an occasional glass of wine or living in unhealthy air quality, it was purposeful. You might be addicted to a substance but, you're fully aware of the fact that you're pregnant and that you are still using.

Had that law been in effect back then, I would absolutely think she should have been charged.

FWIW it's not a local law. 38 states have some sort of fetal protection laws on the books.
