Protesters block buses carrying undocumented immigrants in California

What makes you think I'm throwing my hands up. I'm still here trying. Having the border problems, decades old as they are, blamed on Obama doesn't hurt my feelings, I'm very displeased with him, much as the majority of Americans are, as evidenced in his performance polls. But blaming this all on Obama is hilarious, only if it didn't mean that we will continue to have unsecured borders in the future because of it.

It just sounded, or read like you were signaling that you thought that Obama was unfairly being called out for this mess today. And although you may or may not support his presidency, he is absolutely failing at this aspect of it.

the president cannot act unilaterally on this issue. immIgration requires legislation to be created by congress, and guess what? no piece of immigration legeslation seems to have a chance of getting through congress.

Oh yeah? Remember, "I've got a pen, and a phone"??? Remember the so called "Dream act"? But I am glad you understand how it is supposed to work, now if only it wasn't just nice words mouthed only to give cover for this criminal in the WH.

The problem is that you do not understand the function and limitations of an Executive Order. Especially as compared to legislation...If you want, let me know and I will explain the differences.

executive action can only do so much without proper legislation and congress is failing its duty as part of the legislative branch. congress is failing to act, failing to debate, and yet the president gets blamed when he tries to act.

Now that's funny...I understand just fine...It would seem that today's current crop of limit pushers are the ones with boundary issues....It's not only EOs that are the problem, it is also within the make up the Executive grabbing more and more power as well. Surely you know that.

I would say that the House is doing what it can considering the current climate of rancor that this administration has enabled. Tell me, of the house measures passed, how many have made it to a vote in the Senate? Do you know?

Oh, and you try to tell me that I don't know what an EO is designed for, yet this administration tries to wield them like blunt objects, much like a dictator would do....And supporters cheer....Be wary of where this criminal is taking power, and don't whine when the next republican administration uses it too. ;)

there currently is a immigration bill that passed in the senate in 2013 and is currently stuck in the house.

it is called S.744

Only in a totalitarian atmosphere.....

What a bunch of putrid punks.....

He has a pen, He has a phone.

He doesn't call, he doesn't write.

so you want the president to to use executive action instead of actually waiting for the legislative branch to actually write a bill.

Yes, of course, if that would solve the problem. The rest can be worked out later.

immigration requires secure borders and immigration reform.

you cannot separate the two.

What?? Of course you can. Almost every country in the world is able to have secure borders and also have immigration laws. Why is the US any different?

The problem is that when you demand that the House Act on immigration reform, what you are really saying is "Give us amnesty now."

The majority of the American people do not want you to even be here, let alone have amnesty, so real immigration reform to Americans is sealed borders and deportations.

Your demanded debate and resolution is a Christmas present that you cannot have. That is why there is no resolution, you won't give an inch on returning home to your own country, which is what we want.

what terms of the law did you disagree with.

not enough soldiers on the border and no giant fortifications?

Lets come at it from another angle. What percent of your people would you agree to send home if we agreed we'd let the rest stay? 75%?
