It's not apples and oranges. Lots of white bigots said the same things you are during the 60s and 70s. You just choose not to recognize it. Not surprising, it's not very flattering.

Subjective. This is nothing more than your personal opinion. Under the way our laws work, it can easily accommodate same sex couples, and therefore there is no legitimate state interest reason to deny them the right to marry.

To reiterate what others have said, that is simply your subjective opinion. Many people think otherwise, and the Constitution ultimately dictates what the law of the land will be. And I guarantee the Constitution is not on your side.

Nobody had their healthcare altered. What was altered is only what was offered as an employer provided benefit. Save your outrage for the many millions that have no such employer provided benefit at all. Crying over having only 16 of 20 birth control options (partially) paid for by your employer is silly when many get no employer help with their healthcare at all.

I would just like it to be known that I'm 100% against:

1. Anyone being forced to go to Disney...

2. Anyone being forced into a marriage with a person of the same sex...

3. Anyone being forced into adoption...

4. Well the military wasn't "forced" to accept gays, the repeal of DADT was a Congressional action. You know, the legislative body that sets the rules for the Military under the Constitution.​

First Amendment, don't you support that?

You can shout your intolerance from the rooftops that isn't a problem. On the other hand when you try to codify that intolerance into the law, then it becomes an issue.

The other side of the coin is that when you shout your intolerance, others also have a 1st Amendment right to call you out on it. The 1st Amendment restricts government, it does not protect you from consequences for other private entities pointing out your intolerant.

Speaking as a registered republican for 35 years, where have those in this thread said the power of government should be used to your speech?


If you can post a link to where someone said it should be against the law for you to express your opinion, please do so I would like to denounce them.

Where are the liberals on this board calling for what you say to be ILLEGAL. Please show us those evil nasty liberals saying it should be illegal for you to say marriage should be between a man and woman. The ball is now in your court to back up what you say.

Never said they said it should be "illegal". I said they don't support it. I don't agree with gay marriage. And they come out of the wood work and justify their attempts at ridicule.
So clearly they have a problem with what I say and what I believe.
