Syrian Warplanes Strike in Western Iraq, Killing at Least 50 People

LOL...

I see you are a conspiracy theorist.

LOL...

Why do you deflect my question when I point out the intent Clinton signed into law in 1998? Is it because you have to proper discourse?

No conspiracy. You're denying that the operation was named and subsequently changed as I pointed out? As for Clintons act in 1998, he clarified it in 02.

In October 2002 former US President Bill Clinton warned about possible dangers of pre-emptive military action against Iraq. Speaking in the UK on a Labour Party conference he said: "As a preemptive action today, however well-justified, may come back with unwelcome consequences in the future....I don't care how precise your bombs and your weapons are, when you set them off, innocent people will die."[135][136]

I'm not denying that. I'm denying the implication you conspiracy theorists have by actively pointing out a coincidence.

Iraq War - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Sure.

Could it be because it was after his party lost the presidency?

Why didn't O-bomb-a listen to Clinton's words?

Most politicians do what they want, when they want, without actual care of reality. Only with care of future votes.

I fully agree with you. The left has long established its willing to play politics with our safety. When there are threats we are told its the right trumping things up, and when terror is thwarted they are the first to take credit for it. Politics trumps national defense with the left-thats hard for many to realize-but its still absolutely true.

As I type, the dems are sending a wave of undocumented, unvaccinated illegal immigrants to the US, who are pouring through our borders. And all because they want votes. This is considered acceptable to the left.

According to border patrol on a good day they only apprehend a 1/3 that get through. And out of that 1/3 the Obama policy is to capture, give them a court date and then release. They don't show up for their immigration hearings. What kind of border security is that? Now this latest influx, most are males about the same age as the young recruits in ISSA. How many of them are little militants just waiting for a time to be called to jihad? And the elites in both parties call those who are demanding our borders be secured as the "kook fringe". WTF?

You do mean democrat politicians don't you?

Absolutely-and of those caught, only 15% are actually deported. They are trying to paint this influx as children, while the data reveals they are mostly males in their late teens and up.

You are preaching to the choir, Im only about an hours drive north of Mexico. There is a border patrol checkpoint 20 minutes from here-its always open, btw, they never stop anyone. :doh

Yes, coincidence. Do you think they would have purposely named something with the "oil" acronym, just to pull it after realizing what in suggested?

I will assume it was an oversight. What motivation would they have to use that name if they thought of the acronym? Like conspiracy theorists point out, it is damaging.

I wasn't suggesting that the original was planed, just that since its acronym of "oil" it would have to be pulled, changed. Go ahead and excuse that along with the other 20,000 "coincidences" of the last century.

Then why even bring it up?

Can't you stick with the things that matter?

Seriously, why did you bring it up?

To bolster your argument of hypocrisy, only that its not bound to the Democratic Party.

My God.

Changing a name is not hypocrisy. All arguments of that in the past boiled down to partisan politics and conspiracy theories.

That would be hard to take knowing that 20 minutes from my home folks from "who knows where" were entering my space. But all that do make into this country illegally are causing all of us grief. Here in Ohio there are many who would take the jobs like roofers and landscapers but they can't seem to get those jobs with many major outfits as these businesses seem to like those who can't speak English. Cheaper wages? No Obamacare? We have the West side of Columbus Ohio that is now referred to as Little Mexico. It is costing the Southwestern school district an excessive amount of money to provide translators and a bunch of other programs for these children of illegals. There is a problem with multiple families living in 2 bedroom apartments on that side of town. 38 is the largest number that has been reported that have been found living in a two bedroom apartment. But damn if they didn't all march down Sullivant Avenue carrying the Mexican flag on Cinco de Mayo holding up traffic while they had their little parade. Hardly anyone speaks English in that area these days. We have had multiple cases of Muslims in the Ohio area arrested to things related to terror. So though you are closer to it, we in Ohio are feeling the major effects as well. Good night Conservative.

We have the same issues, but its been this way for the last 20 years. Night.

That wasn't the point. The point was that we have had presidents that have been deceitful with the American people to garner support for war, whether or not you agree with the presidents actions in hind sight.

I agree with the deceitful actions. It just doesn't have to be war either. All presidents lie about a myriad of things to get their agenda passed and implemented, some are innocent exaggerations and others are down right lies when a presidents knows what he is saying isn't true. Most think the public is out there to be manipulated into supporting any presidents views and agenda. War or military action is no different when it comes to lies and deceitfulness than on domestic agendas.

If a candidate wasn't willing to do what ever it took to be elected and to deceive the voters into voting for him instead of his opponent, he wouldn't be holding elected office today.

WE can't win the war if the lefts politics of the President and his party wont let us. How about rooting for America for a change?

How about AMerica staying out of the ME for a change. Since you seem so worried about Al-Aeada, they are in full force in Africa unopposed. Why aren't you wanting to strike at their safe havens? Where do you think they plan and execute from?

I agree. Defeatist as that is. All politicians are deceitful liars who can't be trusted and do "whatever it takes" (very open ended there) to get elected. Making a mockery of the whole exercise of elections and the notion that Americans are involved in the process of choosing a president. But Americans will, nevertheless, line up at the polling booths and participate in the charade.

For the politicians, they truly believe they can fool all the people, all the time.

Considering the fact that that is indeed what they do (though I would alter that to read 'most of the people' which is all they need) I would argue that they are right.

People say we’re not fighting for oil. Of course we are. They talk about America’s national interest. What the hell do you think they’re talking about? We’re not there for figs.

To imply it was about oil ignores the whole of the article.

And that is the sad part about all of this. The standard mantra of a politician is to tell the people what they want to hear and then once elected, do as you want.

I'm sure is hard to swallow, but there's only three Americans left that don't know that the Iraq war was about oil.

Alan Greenspan, the former Federal Reserve chairman, said in an interview that the removal of Saddam Hussein had been "essential" to secure world oil supplies, a point he emphasized to the White House in private conversations before the 2003 invasion of Iraq.

(CNN) -- Yes, the Iraq War was a war for oil, and it was a war with winners: Big Oil.
It has been 10 years since Operation Iraqi Freedom's bombs first landed in Baghdad. And while most of the U.S.-led coalition forces have long since gone, Western oil companies are only getting started.
Before the 2003 invasion, Iraq's domestic oil industry was fully nationalized and closed to Western oil companies. A decade of war later, it is largely privatized and utterly dominated by foreign firms.

Plans to exploit Iraq's oil reserves were discussed by government ministers and the world's largest oil companies the year before Britain took a leading role in invading Iraq, government documents show.

London, May 1 (Bloomberg) -- The U.S. and U.K. went to war against Iraq because of the Middle East country's oil reserves, an adviser to British Prime Minister Tony Blair said.
