IRS: So… Our Computer Crashed And Erased All Of Lois Lerner’s Emails

Well, at least you accept that it would at least be a theft....that a crime did occur. That's progress.

yep. and that is still much more than has been found in the instance if the IRS' missing emails
but when you have some actual proof of agency wrongdoing, please return to this thread and post it

Well, sport......when Lois Lerner's emails as well as the emails of six others who were going to be subponead just happen to be lost due to phantom hard drive crashes, suspicion of a cover up is a matter of common sense. And I suspect that if the same thing occurred during the Bush administration and with Bush appointed IRS administrators, you would be screaming "cover up" from the mountain tops. Your partisanship is noted.

The IRS just admitted it released tax payer information to a leftist activist group.

" Not a smidgen of corruption"...

and settled for $50,000 to pay for the indiscretion
see, they admitted it when they found a mistake was committed
so, when you see proof that those incriminating emails were intentionally lost, come back to the thread and show us the proof you have acquired

Lol.... " Mistake "..

You're one of those people who will just admit that Conservatives should have been targeted all along.

When the Evidence is so damaging that not even people like you can deny what the IRS did, you'll just admit that people that disagree with you and the Democrats should be unlawfully detained and or harrassed.

The fact that no one was jailed, or that the penalty was such a slap on the wrist doesn't make what they did any less corrupt and it damn sure doesn't make it a " mistake ".

Is it a " mistake " when someone steals your credit card information ?

I am a citizen, not a prosecutor. I am expressing my belief and apparently according to opinion polls the believe of the majority of citizens in this nation that their is a cover up in regards to Lois Lerner's emails. I am not required to post evidence behind my beliefs. I really don't care whether you are convinced or not. Deal with it.

It's all a partisan issue to Bubba. The emails involve an IRS scandal under Obama's watch....therefore he will defend the iRS....no matter what.

They admitted they targeted 'right wing' groups as well, they just tried to blame it on a 'rouge employee'… but as we find out, far more people were involved. That's what they call 'lying' btw.

Do you think they would have admitted to anything if they hadn't been taken to court?

The targetting case has not been taken to court yet so please hold your request for proof.

hopefully, the republican dominated house also knows that and will finally act on that belief
quit grandstanding and have someone independently investigate the nature of the data loss. show us whether it was a nefarious incident or a legitimate one
So then stand with us in the call for a special prosicuter. Instead I have a feeling you only say that to deflect.

which is why that was such an absurd post
as if he KNEW the contents of unrecoverable emails
he's one of yours. deal with it

They are of importance because they belong to the prime suspect...during the dates in question. Duh.

We were comparing News/Commentary program's, not branch's or even twigs of govt!!

Then, who cares? If you get your news from a single source, you're at fault...not the source.

please
authorize a special investigator
anything to stop gowdy and issa from stupidly grandstanding over nothing

It's only "grandstanding" when you don't like what's being asked. Predictable.

no, it's grandstanding when you come up empty
get back to me when they find something

Koskinen is a condescending dickhead.

Why? The IRS has every right to target the finances of politicians. Pols must be held accountable to the people they serve, and so the people need to know if the pols are engaging in theft/fraud of taxpayer funds.

Irrelevant.

Its the job of the House oversight committee to hold Government agencies like the IRS accountable.

Koskinen is just another intentional roadblock in doing just that.

The problem is not just that there is an irrecoverable file from a hard drive; that happens on occasion. The problem is that the story would have us believe that these emails all existed on a single storage medium. Redundant back up is fundamental to data management.

I'm not one to engage in conspiracy theories, but this notion is so laughably absurd to anyone remotely familiar with system administration that one can't help but raise an eyebrow. I need to research this more.

Maybe they used Windows.

IRS is hated and corrupt PoS, that should probably be shut down.

Wrong. The HofR is supposed to work for the people, and the IRS was being as a tool to check on the actions of the Reps on behalf of the electorate.

Just as an employee has no right to scrutinize the actions of an employer surveillance camera, the HofR (employees of the People) have no right to scrutinize the actions of tools used to monitor them.

The IRS has a moral duty to scrutinize the finances of member of Congress, because those finances come from the taxpayer--us.

I have not read this thread, but....does anyone actually believe the IRS?

Oh boy do you have that wrong.
