IRS: So… Our Computer Crashed And Erased All Of Lois Lerner’s Emails

IRS: So

Excuse me if I don't believe these people. Someone needs to go to jail, and we the people need to know what the hell is going on with the IRS and the White House.

Must be Ollie North syndrome.

It's a damn shame no one's going to jail over this.

Then why were you questioning if the data could be recovered or found elsewhere?
If you will notice I questioned some very specific claims related to wiping drives and magnets etc.
My doing so seems to have confused more than one person.

I wonder what Obama is going to think about this once he gets his "Morning Brief" from his paperboy?

I would pose that we do have the power, we are just failing to use it.

I agree and I suspect social unrest is coming in the next years as people seek to change a system that is failing them.

Depending on what that social unrest takes as a path, ie; return to constitutional principles, or wanting ever more government meddling and control...

Either way we are really no longer a representative republic, or sovereign state for that matter, so we are headed for unrest no matter which way it goes.

From what I have read so far, evidence suggests that the younger liberals are becoming less enthralled with old solutions like regulation or government, preferring to take a more direct route as we have seen with the case involving the mozilla CEO. The view is that government has failed them and all power bases whether they be inside or outside government, have become too entrenched. I suspect we will end up morphing into something new as we do after every technological revolution creating the need for new solutions because of new realities.

hmmm....I see. So if I translate correctly, Libs that are now flexing their progressive authoritarian muscle in trampling anyone that doesn't fall into line with their beliefs, and when the tide turns, much like spoiled little pukes they are, they will tantrum....Sounds about right...

I am sure that we will see for the next 2 years people posting that there is no evidence because all the emails were lost, so it is not a scandal.

The claim of losing them is the scandal.

I don't know your age, but I assume your'e old enough to know what the subject of the OP is.
and as i have repeatedly posted, this shows us that this is not the first white house to experience said problem
seems the Obama administrations is showing signs that it as incompetent as the dicknbush administration

Un-friking-believable... Is there a person alive with an IQ over 10 who actually believes this BS?

I don't believe they are lost. They should be able to dig them back up and I hope they do. But as to persons alive who believe emails get lost... I dunno. Ask the entire faction of conservative GOP backers when the White House mysteriously lost 5 million emails with nary a curious quip from any of them.

Not to mention all those emails were illegal correspondence that broke the law under the Presidential Records Act. But I digress. Onward with the obvious partisan outrage.

Huh ?

No, this IS the first administration that got caught using the IRS to target American Citizens solely on the basis of their political views.

This is the first administration to blatantly violate the Constitutional rights of free Americans by using Federal agencies to harrass American Citizens based on their opposition to a President.

This IS the First American administration to resort to banana republic style tactics to win a election.

So there is no comparison between what happened under Bush and whats happening now.

After first ADMITTING that the IRS targeted Conservative Americans for their ideology, Lois Lerner then LIED and blamed it all on nameless, faceless Cincinnati rogues.

Obama pledged to get to the bottom of it and to make those who were involved accountable.

Then, 24 Consecutive 5th amendment pleas from the Women who first admitted the targeting as people like YOU repeatedly mischaracterized the House oversight committees investigations as a " Witch hunt ".

And Obama's reclassification of the IRS scandal as " made up".

And finally, deleted E-mails.

Now, did that happen under Bush ? No, not even close.

No one who's hasn't sold out every semblance of integrity believes for a second that these E-mails were " accidentally " deleted.

So again, Obama has been building a legacy of lies, corruption, incompetence, lawlessnes and just unprecedented dishonesty.

Plus a economy thats after 6 years contracting as millions of Americans try to deal with chronic joblessness as poverty rates clim to 1 in 5 Americans.

Add Obama's foreign policy failures, Benghazzi, trading 5 top level terrorist for a deserter, Fast and Furious, ObamaCare's impact on middle class America, his flooding of border States with illegals from Central and South America and Mexico so they can compete with jobless Americans for what little jobs are available and you have the worst President in our Nation's history.

And he's taking the Democrat party with him.

Look, I understand that this is politics and tit-for-tat is part of the game, but you failed to mention a few things about that 2007 story that have come to light since then:

1. In December 2009, it was announced that the e-mails were found.
2. They were actually recovered while Bush was still in office, but nobody ran the story.
3. Their loss stemmed from a failure to install a properly working electronic record keeping system.
4. That system apparently mislabeled the emails, which is why they were "lost".
5. The Administration was aware of the problem in 2003, before they were ever requested by anyone and more than 2 years before it was made public.
6. In October 2003, the Administration called technicians from Microsoft to help them find the electronic messages.

Actually, this proves the IRS scandal is for real because if it wasn't, then losing those emails wouldn't be either.

:)

Right, I agree. But the stupidity of the excuse is a scandal unto itself, as far as I am concerned, and that is my point. I am satisfied that they are hiding something, solely as a consequence of this lame turn of events.

Well thank God this isn't over a second rate burglary. Otherwise there might be real trouble.

Youre right. Two wrongs DO make a right!

And let's remember, this is not Lois Lerner's computer, or the White House's computer, or their email, or their back ups. All this is the property of the people of the United States. Not their personal stuff, it is our stuff that they are screwing with. As they have been all along.
