Honest question. I hear a lot of complaining about these people and others who carryout similar acts being labeled as "right" but has a left leaning group (in the US) ever done anything like this?

The real nice thing about this little episode is that for the life of me I can't remember what their names were. I do remember the officers names of being Igor Soldo (easy to remember as not common) and Beck. I hope nobody remembers the shooters' names.

That's the type of people who are attracted to Las Vegas and can't deal with the surreal realities of the city.

The Millers had just moved from Indiana to Vegas four months ago.

Metro (Clark County Sheriffs/L.V. Police) have a real tough job.
They have two set of laws, one for the tourist who support the city and state of Nevada by leaving their money behind. And the laws for those who live in LV.

Las Vegas is so transit, they have to publish the phone book every four months or so. That's how transient it is.

If you move to LV you have to be smart, quick and have a game plan. If you have a drinking, drug or gambling problem, better to go back from where you came from because you're not going to make it.

The Millers found themselves in a fantasyland and ended up dressing up as cartoon characters to make a buck. Drugs only made it worse.
Running to a Walmart only shows what their mindset was.

Don't know, but actually, there were 3 mass shootings this week, I forgot the guy up in Canada. Same MO.

A man and a woman who shot two police officers and then a civilian in Las Vegas on Sunday may have been white supremacists, according to Las Vegas newspapers.
The Las Vegas Sun quoted neighbors at the couple’s apartment complex saying that the two “had a reputation for spouting racist, anti-government views, bragging about their gun collection and boasting that they’d spent time at Cliven Bundy’s ranch during a recent standoff there between armed militia members and federal government agents.”
The Las Vegas Review-Journal reported that police found Swastika symbols in the apartment.
If the two are involved with neo-Nazi or white supremacists groups, the Vegas slayings would be one of several linked to hate movements.

I recognize that all groups have extremists but the right does seem to attract individuals who are inclined to acts of violence like this. This of course is not meant to imply that everyone on the right is nutcase waiting for his big break.

I also, and I know I'll get **** for this one, think that far right news personalities like Hannity and Limbaugh who fan the fires of rage and hostility in their followers contribute to the problem. Ultimately the person who commits the act is responsible. But we all know that cheer-leading like this encourages and feeds the outrage. It does in any situation.

I remember when liberals went nuts when swastika symbols were found on the Naval Amphibious Base, Coronado, San Diego. They demanded that the sailors barracks to be torn down.

They did modify some of the buildings until the liberals lost the House in Congress.

I see Obama's Socialist agenda of anti-2nd Amendment, pro-amnesty, Agenda 21 de-industrialization is in trouble. They need to grease the wheels of fear and politicizing a shooting in CA is not going to do it. People become numbed to the politics of shootings. The public attitude is "Oh, another shooting..." The political elite have over played this political card. So they ramp up the rhetoric for a big terrorist attack. But if nothing happens, it only numbs the people more. In order to pass big new laws against freedom like another Patriot Act, they have to get a reaction and sustain the frenzy. That is why 9/11 worked. It was a sustained frenzy of fear. There is no way to carry out another WTC 7 with everyone watching from the get go. We are governed by some very, very sick, sick evil people.
