I think they should have chosen Al "not so" Sharpton...at least we could have a good laugh everyday.

Never said otherwise. In fact, I'm surprised he stayed this long. Those guys can make seriously big bucks in the real world after holding that gig in the White House. Ari Fleischer, GWB's Press Secretary, has a very successful media and PR firm focusing on sports stars and professional sports teams.
Repairing his reputation would have to involve more lying and twisted rationalizations. It's Faustian.I'm sure his family is thrilled that daddy will now be home for awhile as he takes a break and considers his options and offers that come in, as they assuredly will from eager publishers, etc. I hope he will be thinking about a new path that will include repairing his reputation.
I said nothing new because for the past year you could see that he was not happy in his job. Hope he finds something to make him happy.
Lets hope he isn't allowed to work with the MS media anywhere. See if he can make it writing books.
Nah, MSLSD is licking their chops.
Yeah he can take Joe Scarborough's Place since Joe is thinking about making the dash......but then what would they be like without the Morning Cup of Joe?
So the heat was getting too hot for that 50 year old lying weasel and he had to get out of the kitchen. The press as of late were constantly catching him in lies and he would try to tap dance around them until he finally ran out of moves. How convenient for the WH. Now as more questions are raised about Benghazi or any other scandal the new press secretary can claim ignorance to avoid answering tough questions.
My guess is that he's headed for Fox. They're going to fill his pockets with cash.
Everyone has a price.
I wonder if you spoke the same way of professional BS artist Ari Fleischer. My guess is no.
Ari Fleishcher passed on stuff that wasn't truthful and he will be the first one to tell you that he should have been more of a skeptic over some of the stuff he was fed. He had some advice for the new press secretary. "Double-check inside the White House to make sure that anything and everything you say turns out to be truthful," he said. "Otherwise, you make a mistake or you get pounded on national TV — and it doesn't feel good."
Well, I'm holding out that he left because he saw the writing on the wall for this admin. Sure it took some time, but maybe, just maybe, he'd had enough of it. Lying that is. Even devout progressives can get to a point where they say.. "Umm, gee...I'm not sure I can go out there and say that to the American media"..
Here's hoping Carney has a modicum of integrity and it was his decision riddled finally with enormous guilt.
Tim-
Fired? The guy never told the damned truth, which is precisely what is required of any press secretary in this Administration.
That's easy to say once you no longer have the job.
In this instance, Carney was trying to defend the indefensible. He was constantly trying to defend the president and this administration who have been caught in lies by their own words. From shovel ready jobs to "if you like your healthcare you can keep it" to Benghazi was all about an unknown video about Muhammad to he wasn't aware of Fast and Furious till he read it in the newspaper or the other countless times Obama came to the microphones claiming to be the know nothing president, the latest being over the VA. Now he claims he wasn't aware of the fake lists till he read about it in the news. No one can defend this kind of crap successfully, it's undefensible.
Your deflection to Ari Fleischer isn't working. What's wrong, you find what this administration has done indefensible too and find it hard to defend? Why else would you be bringing up Ari Fleischer, the press secretary for Bush the first 2 years of his presidency well over a decade ago? Now that shows real desperation on your part. This weasel Carney has allowed himself to be used to attempt cover ups of falsehoods over and over again for 6 years defending the lies.Fleischer basically rebuked the First Amendment. But keep pretending your team is saintly.
