It wasn't reported that they asked while the attack was still going on and even then it still doesn't explain why they were blaming the video, why, if they thought the video was a problem they didn't do something earlier or why they said the intel about the video came from the CIA when, apparently, they knew about it all along.

Plain and simple, why didn't they tell the truth?

No it proves the State dept held back on email that was not classified and did so for over a year......So I can understand why you are pist. Because it is another technicality that gets brought out to the light. While at the same time makes Team BO look even more sneaky and dishonest.

But the Benghazi issue isn't about the attack.

Its about a Administration that chose to lie not only to the American people but also the Families of those who lost their lives.

Obama, Hilary and the DEMOCRATS Politicized it the instant they chose to manufacture a false narrative about a video because it was too Politically risky to be honest.

I find your disgust with the Republicans a bit hypocritical.

our stupid gerrymandered monochromatic political monopoly, and the proponents of political teamsports

All good points, I'll grant you that.

My disgust is with politicians that seem to believe that they can get away with bold faced lying to the electorate, and they usually can - at least for some time - with the aide and cover up / lack of coverage of a complicit alleged 'news' media. It's like the two are in collusion to mislead, misdirect, and distract the electorate from these lies all the while directing the attention and news coverage to some stupid excessively politically correct and basically pointless and of miniscule importance, and the most disturbing is that the sheeple eat it up and don't question or think.

If all this keeps going too much further, our Republic will indeed be a passing fad and failed experiment in self-governance. We will have lost more than we can imagine.

we can fix things, but we'll have to work at it as a nation. while i'm fully in support of continuing and expanding humanitarian efforts, i think it's time to focus on shoring ourselves up domestically instead of global police actions.

also, we absolutely have to look at ways to end gerrymandering. that seems to be the root cause of much of our division and general malaise.

While I wouldn't be a proponent of disengaging form the world stage, isolationism of a sort, I do agree that we take on far too many global police actions. What the hell is the UN for anyway?

We need simple laws by which everyone needs to conduct their business (lives) by. Enough of the excessive page count legislation. It's little more than regulator, lawyer and judge jobs programs at public expense.

we seem to be at least within compromise territory. i admit to possibly being more isolationist than is possible, but i'd like to see us devote a lot more of our resources to fixing things that we have neglected here at home.

I agree, we are within compromise territory, and I concur that we have much neglected things here at home that need fixing (like the roads!).

Now, the priorities, well, that's a detail driven, long drown out process where it's all around give a little here, to get a little there.

What's odd about all this is that there are dozens of anti Muslim videos on Youtube and elsewhere, as well as many websites. How could the White House think that one video could cause this problem when there are so many out there? But it seems people bought their excuse anyway.

Well then you should be thoroughly disgusted with the Obama administration, Hillary Clinton and the Democrat party.

THEY Politicized the death of four Americans.

Chose to perpetuate a huge lie because it was Politically expedient.

Manufactured some BS narrative about a video and spent the next 20 months piling onto that lie for.....wait for us.....purely Political reasons.

They lied, and 4 Americans died. Its simply not cool. It seems that the more we learn about this case, the worse it looks. We are going to have to pull the Obama administration kicking and screaming into the sunlight. So be it.

I think at a minimum, the Families of the Men who lost their lives deserve to know why their loved ones aren't around anymore.
