The right using this as a political tool is almost as disgusting as the left using Sandy Hook.

There have been embassy attacks under pretty much every president. It sucks, but we want to intervene in every **** hole everywhere, and this will continue to happen until we correct course.

Conservatives, you are being used and manipulated by fox news just like dip**** liberals are being fed talking points by MSNBC. Seriously, take the ****ing red pill.

Sure there were attacks on embassy's in the past, but thats not the issue.

This issue is a administration that manufactured a false narrative about a attack that cost four Americans their lives.

A administration those chose to lie not only to the American people, but to the families of those who lost their lives.

Why does that not bother you ?

Hillary Clinton was putting out a press release before the attack was even over blaming it on a video.

The Obama administrations priority was to perpetuate the narrative of having Al Qaeda on the run.

So a military engagement at a Embassy couldn't happen right before election.

That cost four Americans their lives.

you guys act just like 9/11 truthers, and that's how non-fox America looks at you. you're virtually indistinguishable from them, other than you have an entire network pushing the story.

yes, i care that people died. this is why i would pull all of our troops out of that entire region, and i would close all of the embassies there. it's a hostile part of the world, and our own house is falling apart. get them the **** out of there.

this is absolutely political. the right thinks they have some kind of gotcha just like the dems do every time there's a shooting. it's annoying at best and disgusting at worst.

here's my advice : give up on this one. it isn't watergate, and you're being fed a line of bull**** by a fake news network that is designed to feed you propaganda. the rest of the country is not going to support kicking the president out of office over this any more than it will support putting Bush on trial.

here's what you need to do : run a candidate in 2016 who isn't a bat**** loony far right moron. choose one who is better than the democrat, run him or her, and actually try to sell your ideas to the American people. as it stands, your side has gone absolutely insane during the Obama years, and EVERYTHING you've done has been a shot fired in some hyperpartisan war with him. ****, i thought the dems were bad under Bush, but this **** is absolutely insane. the only thing you guys haven't done that they did is to make some ****ty snuff film about him. you don't like the president. fine; i'm not a huge fan either. by the time Bush was out, i was so sick of him that anything else looked good. however, i didn't go online trumpeting every embassy attack that happened on his watch, because that would have been stupid. instead, i talked about his policies, what i didn't like about them, and solutions that i support. you know, like debating.

you guys really are Benghazi truthers. you need to know that a lot of us look at you that way, and feel that this **** should be in CT. correct course, and make your platform look better than the other side. that's how you win; not this bull****.

Whats wrong with holding a administration accountable for perpetuating a false narrative over a attack that cost 4 Americans their lives ?

Whats wrong with confronting a huge lie ?

If Obama was so concerned about guarding his " Al Qaeda is on the Run " re-election narrative that he would lie to the American people AND to the Family members who lost their loved ones, what makes you think he wouldn't purposely hold back Military assistance ?

To keep Benghazi from turning into a battle between the Terorist and American special forces.

Mornin' USC. :2wave: Even Better was the Cleric in Cairo Egypt.....never saw the video. Yet he called for the Rioting in Egypt and then used Social media to spread the word to all the Sunni.

Which he was never brought in for inciting riots or anything. Not even for using the social media to spread the protests.

many embassy attacks have occurred during the past few decades :

fox has devoted two years of saturation coverage to only one of them. this is because they are using it as a political tool. your side is coming off as conspiracy theorists to those of us who don't watch fox, and it will not help you win an election. i assume it has become more about Hillary Clinton than Obama now, as fox's new mission is probably to sink her candidacy. i really don't care. however, your use of an embassy tragedy will not win you my vote. if you'd like to win my vote, push an end to interventionism and the closing of embassies in hostile regions. also, i'd like to see our infrastructure rebuilt and expanded, and we should be getting off of oil so that we would have to give many fewer ****s about that part of the world. run a candidate who supports that, and i'll consider him or her for a vote. run eight million swiftboat commercials about Benghazi, and i'm not going to come anywhere near your candidate.

on a related note, the strategy of conspiracy theorists is to tie up their opponents in increasing intricacies to mask the fact that the theory itself is usually bull****. they can't prove that Bush shot missiles at the twin towers, so they spend eons debating about one structural point in the tower, or about WTC7. then you post a pic of WTC7 which shows the damage that led to the collapse, and they just ignore it and move on to something else. that's what you guys do with Benghazi. i usually avoid CT threads like the plague, but apparently fox must have returned to saturation coverage because there have been a ****load of threads recently. i just couldn't take it anymore. mea culpa.

Maybe... I dunno. The longer this administration is in power the more it seems like they are just in way over their heads.

Obama 2008 campaigned on a whole slew of left wing foreign policy agenda items like closing GITMO, pulling out of Iraq and Afghanistan, making "friends" with nations, etc... It looks like he really believed the BS that he was peddling and once he was elected and got to peek behind the curtain and saw first hand how unrealistic and naive that campaign rhetoric really was. At that point he must have realized that he got caught with his fly open and no "plan B" to fall back on. By my scorecard he has been, and continues to be, taken to the cleaners on the international stage.

Rep. Elijah Cummings, D-Md., Issa’s Democratic counterpart on the oversight committee and a newly chosen member of the select committee, blasted Issa for discussing the YouTube-related email.

“This latest document leak makes the strongest case yet for Democrats seeking procedures to protect against these kinds of abuses,” he said in a statement. “In what has become an irresponsible pattern, Chairman Issa unilaterally released a cherry-picked document excerpt – claiming it means one thing when in fact it means the opposite.”


This coming from a guy whose behavior in the IRS scandal was lets say questionable ethically.

I'll weigh in.

If the time stamps are correct then this memo was sent out before the fighting was done. In fact it would have been sent out before Tyrone Woods and Glen Doherty were killed by mortar fire. It was certainly sent well before the intelligence reports that the administration cites as their basis for the Rice briefing were received by the administration.

What does this indicate?

Well, at a minimum it indicates that the administration lied about how it came up with the Youtube scenario. That's bad. But what's worse is the following:
1. The administration was aware of the video well before the events in Benghazi took place and had some indication that it was inflammatory yet did nothing about it, unless;
2. They had already planned to use the video as an excuse in case something happened.

If the latter is true then they KNEW that the situation on the ground was dangerous and remained unprepared to deal with potential violence.

All that is bad but there is another possibility.

What if they knew that an attack was going to take place? What if the video was already hand picked as justification for an attack that they knew was coming? You've got the ambassador in a temporary compound which is guarded by locals in an area where it's well known that hostile parties are present and no reason for his presence has been given. You've got reports that Stevens himself declined an offer for additional security. You've got absolutely nobody being prosecuted for the attack. You've got the FBI held back from an investigation until 22 days after the attack and you've got continued stonewalling by the administration every step along the way.

There can be no doubt that there is a massive coverup surrounding this incident. The question we need to have answered is "WHY?"

The issue over Stevens declining security was not true......Which RSO Nordstrom and another Validated as well as Col Wood. Even up to the morning of the attack.

But one thing is clear.....they knew who it was from the second attack on the consulate. Now they also knew that someone in State Dept Screwed the pooch and Hired Ansar Al Sharia as Security.

Also on Aug 7th there was an attempted kidnapping of Embassy Personnel.....which for some reason this Administration listed it down as a Car Jacking(In Libya, yeah I know :roll: ). Despite personnel being in the car. (plural)

The Obama administration has asked YouTube to review its posting of the anti-Islam film “Innocence of Muslims,” which has provoked violent protests across the Middle East.
“We reached out to YouTube to call the video to their attention and ask them to review whether it violates their terms of use,” said White House Press Secretary Jay Carney.
Carney was adamant today that the Obama administration will not apologize for the video.
“We have made clear that we find it offensive and reprehensible and disgusting,” Carney told reporters at the daily White House news briefing. “We have denounced it. We have said we find it offensive and reprehensible, but we will not — you know, we cannot and will not squelch freedom of expression in this country.”
The White House has not asked YouTube to take down the video, simply to review it.

"While the information I have cited from this e-mail is clearly unclassified, the State Department has attempted to obstruct its disclosure by not providing Congress with an unclassified copy of this document," Issa said.

Another State Department document, this one labeled "sensitive but unclassified" and dated Sept. 12, also refers both to the video and to a group linked to al Qaeda in explaining the cause of the attack.

"At least 20 armed extremists, members of Ansar al-Sharia, set fire to the Principal's office, allegedly retaliating for videos posted on the internet of a film deemed insulting to Islam," the memo reads, providing an early State Department summary of what happened.....snip~
