Mark Cuban talks about prejudice

I actually don't, but I'm getting sick of the knee-jerk defense of everybody who makes comments that are even vaguely racist. Unless, of course, that person is black.

Actually, you've described tb

In the thread about the NH police commissioner who called Obama a nigger, she asked
This story really got this many people interested? An 82 year old police commissioner from Wolfeboro? Seriously? And all of this hysteria about "racism"? Good grief.

Whatever happened to sticks and stones?

And what does anyone care about what an old man says?

But when the old man is black (ie Rangel), or it's a white person calling another white person a racist (as you just did), it's suddenly something worth caring about

What does a rap song have to do with anything? Does this video below represent white people or just a stereotype of a culture that certain people exploit for money?

Because there are gang bangers that have adopted the "hood up" look. I've seen them, you've seen them, we've all seen them.

And...here we go. Predictably, RWers are going to go to bat for people that say racist ****.

And Libbos are going to interpret everything they here as racism.

I'm getting sick of the kneejerk reaction of screaming racism at every oppurtunity.

AT what point, exactly, is it racist? In your estimation.

Racism is bad, very bad, when it results in someone being quantifiably hurt because of racism, like being barred from getting a good job or owning a home.

I didn't see in the examples of Bundy & Sterling where anyone felt the pinch of their views. I don't consider Magic Johnson's feelings getting hurt because the owner of the team he wants to buy telling his mistress that he didn't want her taking selfies with him to be tragic.

we can't talk about race in 2014. please tread carefully about the eggshells. never be honest, always speak through a pc filter.

Yup, pretty much the sad reality of our society.

At one time it was bad to act on views. Now you can't even privately think that (insert protected class here) is lesser than you. I don't care who thinks what as long as nobody gets hurt/

As are you, my friend; branding Conservatives racists.

Once again, you are attaching meanings to my words that aren't there.

But here's my question: I accept that Conservatives aren't, as a group, racist. Yet for some reason whenever racism comes up, the defense of the racists always comes from the right. Why is that? Why would a someone who isn't racist automatically rush to the defense of anybody (anybody who's white anyway) that makes racist comments?

Your personal attacks aren't working, when you prove my point.

Look at black America versus Asian America and decide which of the two is harder working at bettering their lives from the time they are children on through adulthood.
"Blacks are more often associated with.........."
"Asians are more associated with....."

What personal attack? My point is proven by this whole thread, and any thread about Bundy or Sterling or anybody - if there's a defense of what's said it doesn't come from liberals. Why is that?

You can either answer that question or you can crawl back in your hole like you usually do (but not without a parting shot).

Cute. Pitting people of color against each other and making false/incomplete comparisons to perpetuate racism. How transparent.

Sometimes thoughts need to be elaborated upon. While your statement is true, what alternative(s) do you offer to African-Americans that, for example, saves AA's face? Saving face is a strong motivator of behavior among the African-American community.. Much more so than yours or mine, I presume. Why it's so difficult for the African-American culture to do something for their own good...

If I were a Mavericks player I'd be showing up everyday to work wearing a hoodie. Dirk needs to hang out at Salty Dawgs Tattoos.

Cuban at worst mixed up word phraseology by comparing prejudice (prejudgment) of others, based on appearance and circumstances, with bigotry.

It's human instinct to make preconceived assessments based on experience and social info. Though discriminating against someone because of a biased, intolerant and superior judgment is more inline with bigotry/racism.

Why do you always show up to rally the "they're all racists" crowd?
